My numbers so far (2x digital products)

This is what happens when you're building digital products without having an audience first ๐Ÿ‘‡

Not the most inspiring story, but a good lesson to remember is why you should have an audience first or at least 1-2 channels where you are constantly engaging your target.

Seeing these numbers made me question if there are founders really interested in other bootstrapped growth stories, and one good thing came out...

I've made an analysis based on some AMA sessions hosted on IH. Here is the full article (posted on IH).

Youโ€™ll end up with something like this ๐Ÿ‘‡๐Ÿ‘‡๐Ÿ‘‡

  1. 1

That's a great start. Since you don't have an audience, which type of marketing tactics are you using?

    1. 1

I did 3 things that worked:

      1. have a free version of my product (with less info)
      2. promote an upsell to paid version via email
      3. post on really niched communities - like Corey's Swipefiles

What didn't work for me at all:

      • FB groups - full of haters, I did get in touch with a couple of founders, but the ppl willing to pay was almost zero // spend too much time replying to comments and handling all sort of dumbass community admins
