Hey everyone,
Just launched a new customizable poster tool, where you will be able to personalize and download high-quality posters ready for printing.
Created the first templates for users to kick off and launched on Shopify. Planning to build in public. Looking for honest feedback about everything, the web, the customization tool, the design... Let me know what you think!
Try it out at www.doodink.com
Idea sounds cool and the site looks very good. Congrats!
Having an option to buy the physical would be 10x more appealing to me :)
Seems pretty cool, nice one :) I was a bit confused about how I could customise a poster, add it to my cart, go to check out, and then it's still $0? Also, the local print-shop angle is nice, have you considered using anything like https://www.printful.com/api
We're planning to give the first posters for free, to let our customers really test out the tool and for us to see the improvement areas. Other posters we'll add won't be for free.
Regarding printful we're still in doubt whether to go for a physical product option or keep it all digital. As for the digital product, the customer can get it instantly and go to print the same day, and for the physical canvas or poster they would have to wait for delivery.
Nice, well the product looks pretty good so far, keep it up! I've seen some other indiehacker products before that are in a similar space, might be worth checking out:

I guess you probably already know of some of them :)
Thanks, didn't know most of them! We're similar yet a bit different. I guess we still have time to find our differentiation points. This community rocks :)
Yeah, I mean the idea of like star sign niche as a starting point could be interesting for you, a bit like the printmijnstad/printmycity companies ...something that's really easy to market and people are already searching for, and whilst you're getting revenue from that you could work on the bigger picture vision for the tech/market place.
Looks nice. Try multiple variations of posters on homepage with sliding or changing effect.
Share prototype using crowdapp.io to your network for idea validation or to the platform’s community channels.
Thank me later
The pages look nice, like the style. The experience in customizing is good. A small thing I noticed is that there is already the "important" box below "instructions", so no need to include the paragraph below, or u choose one of them.
Hey,
My feedback is going to be more based on the positioning than anything else design or product-related (as marketing is my area of expertise). Here it is:
Don't reduce this down to a customizable poster tool product. That's not at all what this is (or should be).
It's about saving those precious life moments. As a father of two boys, that really touched an emotional chord with me.
This is what you need to be selling. Not some easily replicable product.
As I quote HubSpot founder Dharmesh Shah in my book as saying:
The breakthrough success, which is the thing we hope to aspire (to), you all are aspiring to, requires something more than just technology …You have to have a philosophy … you have to have a point of view that you can pitch outside of just features. Even benefits, that’s not enough.
Hey there,
Nice looking site, however, I did not understand the fact that you are not actually printing the posters. I think that you could make this more obvious. Also, I think that you could maybe fit in a small poster "generator" or "browser" so that we can see from the beginning the awesome visuals that you can provide.
Anyway, I tried to elaborate a bit more on how I felt discovering your landing with audio messages here: https://www.vero.fm/page/reciZQAP2NYwEOZgc/
GO Doodink!
Cheers,
Ben
All the links, e.g. "Read more about our brainstorming sessions", don't work on this page.

Did you validate the idea first? Or are you currently in the validation phase?
