πŸ‘ or πŸ‘Ž - Landing Page Review

I just launched a landing page specifically for Shopify owners for Boei πŸš€
What do you think? Looking for your honest feedback :)
It would be awesome to get your review even if you are not a Shopify user

Link: https://www.boei.help/shopify

Many store owners concentrate on gaining new visitors to their store. Essential, but you should also focus on converting those hard-earned visitors.

Revenue = visitors X conversion rate

I used to own a videogame store and sold for over 100K a year. I know that returning visitors and happy customers are key to a successful business.
Build a relationship with customers, chat with them even when they left your store page. Use the channels that they already use such as Facebook or Whatsapp.

Looking for your honest feedback on something that I’m working on in this area.
Do you think this can work for a Shopify store? And why?

Really loved how quickly and clearly you pointed out the problem and solution. Max kudos about that. πŸ‘πŸΌ

Not a bad concept, however, as a user, I don't really understand how your app will work. I get the basic concept but as a user I except that until I scroll down to the bottom of page, I should have a complete idea of what you sell and how this works and how will I benefit. I do feel that some this is missing and you should work on communicating a little better.

On the bright side, I love these small details like "With bike energy from Utrecht" or provocation explanation at the end. To me as the user, these stand out a lot and makes generate a "cozy" feeling.

Just my 2 cents, but hope this helps 😊

    1. 1

Good points thanks! Happy to hear that you have seen the details. Try to add them a bit here and there hoping that someone sees them haha

Is the product at the moment clear for you? Would you have any suggestions to make things a bit more clear?

      1. 1

I believe those details matter, especially in the long-run. Regarding the product - yes it is clear to me, however, I wish it was more obvious sooner, from the moment that the landing page loads. Not sure about the exact suggestion on how to do it.

    Hey @Ruben88

Amazing idea and a very useful tool as well. I wonder why no one thought about the idea before and why it hasn't been implemented across many websites so far.

A few things about the website

    1. You've done the demo really well. I clicked on it and instantly understood what the product is about even before the header texts completely.
      2.The favicon is missing.
3.The Gumroad logo seems to be a little off.
    2. Maybe add the premium features and rename the button as sign up for beta or something so that visitors who wish to use the premium feature could sign up for the beta
5.Maybe add the "cancel at anytime you want" text inside both the pricing box rather than keeping it outside.

Hope this helps and good luck with the product :)

    1. 1

Thanks for you nice words and feedback!

      1. Cool to hear that the demo is clear.
      2. Just added the favicon, forgot about that.
      3. I will look into the gumroad one. I think I had some issues finding a good svg version of it.
      4. For the premium, at the moment there is no premium yet. I am just focussing on the free version and will add new features for the premium one in the future. Do you think that it is making sense to note it as sign up for beta?
      5. Good one, will look into that!
      1. 1
        1. Check if Gumroad has a brand guideline on their website, you might find a good svg version of their logo.

        2. Right now the premium section is unclickable so might as well re-name the button and use the space to see how many people are interested in the premium features.

        1. 1
          1. Good idea, will take a browse there!
          2. Nice! However, I am thinking.. there is no premium plan yet and I don't know the features or something like that yet... Does it make sense to see how many people click? Or should I just remove the premium plan at all for now?
  4. 2

Neat concept! Here's my 2 cents:

I'm not sure I'd feel comfortable with the WhatsApp option because that results in some random organization having my number, even if the idea of texting over WhatsApp sounds like it's convenient. I know other people aren't as picky, but it's not a product behavior I'd encourage.

I have a feeling the Skype option won't work too well at scale. Consider your personal frustration attending a Skype call every 5 minutes, and most importantly consider all the people you won't be able to pick up that'll be frustrated over you not attending their request. I already feel a similar feeling with Intercom when it takes someone ages to get back to me.

I'd accommodate the new links on new tabs, instead of opening in the existing tab, so the user keeps a tab open with your site while trying to contact you.

The anchor button gets stuck and stops reacting to clicks after I click it a few times.

    Good luck!

    1. 1

Sweet! Thanks for your feedback :)

Can understand that Whatsapp and Skype will not work for everyone. That is also the beauty of Boei, because you can set it up however you want. If you don't like Whatsapp of Skype you just don't add them. I fully agree that companies should reply fast or convenient. If I am on live chat, then it is horrible if I have to wait 5 mins. But on Whatsapp that is much better because I don't have to wait on the website anymore.

Good one on the new tabs, I will consider that option!

Damn it should get stuck! What kind of OS and browser are you using? And did you press it very fast or just slowly?

      1. 1

I was on Chrome, but I was definitely clicking it more and faster than what you'd expect of the average user! haha

    Change the Headline!

Since this landing page is for Shopify. A person having a Shopify site is trying to get Sales/Customers/leads

He doesn't understand "Lightweight < 5kB or Cookie free".

A Shopify site owner is looking for Tools that can get them more sales and convert more customers. That is what you need to reflect in your headline. you can easily skip the tech part like "Lightweight or cookie-free" most of the Shopify site owners won't care about this. instead, mention benefits which will resonate with them like "Convert More Customers" "Get More leads" etc

Your first half of the page needs to be optimized...

also "See Boei on your site" is a very good way to show what your product does, ideally, this should be beneath your headline! This will get you maximum conversions

    Best of luck with this!

    1. 1

Cool these are solid point, thanks! Will work on this :)

    hey @Ruben88

    let me share my thoughts

    • I would put Boei definition in the beginning. I find it nice touch. The first thing - it can give some context of your product, especially if visitors can draw some parallels in the beginning. Second thing, people will know how to pronounce it and not wonder all the time is it bow, bowie, boi... Maybe it's not big deal, but I've kept asking myself in background while scrolling, so some of my focus went on that
    • Another thing, your "I'm the demo, check me out" button is the main part, to see it in action how Boei works, or what you offer. However, I've ignored it because a) it simply doesn't stand out and b) I thought it's some chatbot (that's their usual position) and I skipped it, yet to realise this is your product you're trying to sell me. So, instead of that popover, i would put a background image with hand-drawn arrow pointing to the Boei in bottom right corner. Something that will scream - this is what I'm talking about.
    • You have too much text above the fold. I would go with the shorter version for both title and then explanation paragraphs. Even the second paragraph is enough. Build some message around the fact that you offer communication with the customers via existing channels they already love to use, and there's a higher chance to be reached because of that.
    • I would move that wp, shopify, ghost section to the bottom, don't see the value in having them immediately below the fold. It reminds me to those sections XY companies are using our products, and in most of the case I don't care who is using it. Here it is maybe like for which platforms is designed for, but still, standalone like this - no value.
    • PROBLEM/SOLUTION section is kinda general, I would again wrap it in some warm story that average client can contact you with their favourite tools. "Visitors want to chat using WhatsApp, Facebook Messenger, Viber, Telegram and other channels." - for me this is not a problem. Problem is something like - people refrain from contacting you because they are not used to using offered communication channels. Or maybe, people want to contact you and change their mind because they can't find the tool they can use in zero seconds.
    • Use Boei with... maybe "Boei plays well with... (but this is minor, general feedback of this section is good, maybe to put calendly, waze in the same section, make every icon smaller a bit so they all can fit)
    • Features, hmm... for me it didn't bring any value. Somehow I suppose that I can configure what is relevant for my case. And customising colors and position is not so much relevant if it solves my bigger problems (mentioned above)
    • GDPR compliant claim should be at the top, with more weight, where you mention that customer can contact you even via tools that are strictly personal (like number from whatsapp, name from fb messenger etc). This is really hidden information but should be visible
    • free pricing should announce until which moment this deal is active, because now you have free and (disabled) paid plan, so I assume at some point this free will go away. I want to know when.
    • Installation steps are not necessary, as you already have install guides. However, you have additional gem here - No developer needed. You can use that somewhere else. Even in the headlines.

Keep up the good work πŸ‘

      Hi @brunor,
Thanks again for your awesome reply. See below my comments and updates :)

      1. Boei definition: Used to have that at the top, however others have recommended to put it further down because it does not bring value. I tend to agree with it, because it doesn’t convert someone to use it.
      2. Arrow pointing: Yes agree. I used to have a β€œDemo here” with arrow but removed that because it was a bit annoying on mobile. What I have now done is showing it shortly on mobile and all the time on desktop.
      3. Above the fold: Yes I have too much. It is difficult for me to shorten it without losing β€œprecious” info. I have shortened it, what do you think?
      4. Logo’s: These are indeed some of the platforms it works on. I have moved them to installation. Better?
      5. Problem/solution: Agree, I have made a few improvements here. What do you think?
      6. Boei plays well with: Nice one - changed that. Have added almost all options now
      7. Features: Nice that it was already clear for you, but I have had some feedback on this in the past. I agree that I should add features that bring additional value, but still thinking about this.
      8. GDPR: Good point, I have made this into a separate section.
      9. Pricing: Boei is free forever, so one can always use free and if someone wants they can pay for additional features. I guess that this was not clear right away. I have made some improvements. Is it clear now?
      10. Installation: Good point (again - really appreciate your crisp thoughts). I have made this into a new section. What do you think?
      1. 1

Nice. I'm glad that you found useful some of my thoughts. For me it's already better, but I'm not your target user at all. One thing left - your Demo arrow and "I'm demo" popover still overlaps. Leave only one. Keep up the good work!

        1. 1

Thanks! And you are right, I removed the other one :)

    2. 1

Wow long reply with super good points! Thanks a lot and will work on getting through the list and update the website :)

On mobile (Android, Chrome) the demo text and message card on the bottom overlay the body so it becomes hard to read the body and it's distracting as you scroll.

    1. 1

Hej @AlfredoSequeida, I have made adjustments for better mobile viewing. What do you think?

      1. 1

        That's alot better.

    2. 1

Good one, will look into that! Maybe no demo text on mobile?

  8. 1

Love the concept and the implementation!

    Recommended changes on landing page:

    1. Instead of writing Problem, Problem, Solution, Solution, make it Problem, Solution, Problem, Solution.

    2. You have written "More options such as Email, Links, Calendly link , Twitter page , direct calling". Email and direct calls are generally the most often used channels. Why hide them? Why not show them as part of integration icons?

    1. 1

I have applied your feedback! Thank again πŸ’ͺ

    2. 1

Solid points! Thanks for your feedback :)
      Will look into both πŸ’ͺ

      Thank you! ☺️
Heard the spacing feedback before - guess a problem for me haha. Where do you think a bit more spacing should be added?
The product is free, but in the future there will be a premium version with additional features. Did you catch that or should I further improve the messaging or maybe remove the $5 plan at all?

      Haha awesome!!
Absolutely, if you have access to your html code you can add the one-line-code. For Wordpress I have a plugin.
You can create a free account here: https://www.boei.help
Let me know how it goes, I am happy to help πŸ‘

For the options, as a site owner you can add unlimited ones. However, you are fully right, add a good amount of choice without making it overwhelming :)
