Paying $200/month for 6 AI tools, probably only need 2. Building a free quiz to help solopreneurs cut their AI stack — worth it?

Background: I'm a solopreneur running Claude, ChatGPT, Gemini, Manus, YouMind, and Spokenly. That's ~$200/month and honestly I spend half my time deciding which AI to open for a given task.

HBR 2026 research calls this "AI Brain Fry" — using >3-4 AI tools increases decision fatigue 33% and errors 39%. Checks out.

I'm thinking about building a free quiz:

  • 5 questions (role, budget, top 3 workflows, tech level, biggest pain)
  • Output: your minimum viable AI stack (2-3 tools) + what to cancel + monthly savings
  • Not "discover more tools" — the opposite: "you need LESS"

Questions for the community:

  1. How many AI tools are you paying for right now? Do you actually use all of them weekly?
  2. Is "too many AI subscriptions" a real problem, or am I alone here?
  3. Would a quiz like this be useful, or do you just ask ChatGPT?
  4. If I build this, what would make you share it with other solopreneurs?

Brutal honesty appreciated. Trying to validate before building.

How many AI tools are you paying for?
  1. 1-2 (minimalist)
  2. 3-4 (the sweet spot?)
  3. 5+ (guilty 🙋)
  4. 0 (free tiers only)
