Planning to raise

Does anyone have any experience about fundraising? I'm collecting a team for my startup and planning to raise money. This is quite time consuming so I would like to get some angel funding for that time.

Have you sent any cold emails? Has it worked?

Here is my teaser.

Great that you’re planning early for fundraising, Lea! 🚀
From what I’ve seen, traction beats cold outreach every time — investors reply when they see momentum.
If you do send cold emails, keep them short:
1 line on what you’re building,
    1 on traction or validation,
1 on why it matters now.

Simple, focused messages work best. Wishing you good luck with the raise! 👏

I have a full MVP and i am not sure how to go about it. I want to build a team and give this my full focus and get the word out there and market my product but do not have the funds to do it. Please let me know how you go about it and I will try your methods :) All the best

I'll tell you later. Have you started to find a cofounder? It's easier to get funding if you have a cofounder.

Fundraising is definitely a marathon, not a sprint. Your approach of being intentional about raising before you hit the grind makes a lot of sense. Cold emails can work if they're concise and show you've done your homework on the investor. Best of luck with the raise and building your team.

Hi, after the product launch, do you think it's necessary to build a user communication and feedback community?

I'm working on it. I feel that it's really important. Currently there is only my email. I want to know users as well as possible, what they are building, what features would benefit them most, are the instructions clear enough etc.

you can use netlinkr also to generate b2b leads on linkedin, it worked for me. currently at 1k MRR in 15 days.

Is the product built? Or do u need funds to build it?

I've got MVP or a bit more than that.

cold emails can work if they’re super personal and clear about the value. took me a few tries to get replies, but once I refined my pitch, it helped.

Speaking from experience, do you have a product solution with a good story to tell on how it solves a problem? Do you know your growth plans? Do you have a solid team in place to ensure investors feel confident that have a real opportunity to get a strong ROI?

If so, then really hone in on which investors you would like to target. The last thing you want is to take money for the sake of taking money and having a really poor investor who provides no additional value and connections. So, from my experience, get everything ready within the team, which investor(s) to target and then go ALL IN!

    Good luck

Fundraising is a full time job. Cold email to angels absolutely works if its done right. The plan is a targeted list of investors in your space and a multi-step sequence that adds value before the ask. A B2B SaaS founder used this exact playbook to close their $1.2M seed round this way :) prospectai.dev

Building a team while fundraising is tough, especially when you're trying to maintain momentum on the product. From what I've seen, being selective about which angels you approach makes a big difference - quality conversations beat volume every time. Your teaser looks solid, and having an MVP puts you in a strong position for those early conversations.

Thank you! I like meeting people, but there's not enough time for everything.
