An alarm app that wakes you up when certain stocks drop/rise?

      1. 1

        Pretty accurate, awesome stuff!

We also work when you're already awake :P

    2. 3

Interesting concept. Have you got plans on other areas like products on a discount?

      1. 1

        Thanks @rashid777 !

We've got plans to move into the android & web market soon as well as expanding our trigger selections. We will also be adding earnings & divident based alerts and notifications.

        Is that what you meant?

        1. 1

          Yes. Great to hear.

    3. 2

Notifications about when your stocks change price

      1. 1

@the_ask Spot on. that's exactly what we do!

    4. 2

A app that let's you set alarms when certain stocks hit a threshold you can set yourself.

    5. 2

Sent that over to my day-trading friend :)

      1. 1

@FelDev Wow that's amazing. Thank you so much!

Please let him know that we would love to hear his feedback and any suggestions he might have over at info@stockalarm.io.

    6. 2

Great app!! Can I ask, is the stock price in real-time?

      1. 1

We update all prices every minute on the dot !

Working on improving the quote time as we speak

        1. 2

I had a similar requirement but couldn’t find a Suitable data source. Can I ask who you use?

          1. 1

For sure. We use IEX & ALPHAVANTAGE & Coinmarketcap & cryptocompare.

            Lot's of data normalization :P

        Perfect. Thank you!

    8. 1

Holy shit. I took the task very seriously and closed the page after 10seconds. The site was not loaded in this time span, I could just see the menu on top. I cannot tell anything, what the site does :(

We're working on expanding into android and web within the next few months as well

Some kind of researching what people say over the internet regarding some product?

      1. 1

        That’s it!

    2. 3

Monitors the web for mentions of something you're interested in, and alerts you when these mentions occur. This is valuable for companies monitoring their brand.

    3. 2

Keeping track of social media and internet mentions.

    4. 2

You offer monitoring and tracking of keywords.

Super interesting! How would you quantify Lensant's value? What's so important about knowing all the mentions of a keyword? Is it actionnable data?

      1. 1

Every mention is an opportunity :)

If you track your competitors, you can stay up to date on what they are doing. If you're tracking your industry, you can find potential customers. And if you're tracking your own product, you can keep up to date on what people are saying about it. (So if someone posts something on a forum about your product, for example, you can be alerted and respond immediately.)

        1. 2

          That's cool! I just signed up :)

          1. 1

Awesome! Let me know what you think.

    5. 2

Monitors the internet for mentions of your company (or, I'm guessing, any words/phrases you specify).

    6. 1

I want it. A tool that tells me how sharable my content is. Giving me a dashboard to show where it was posted by other people.

    7. 1

An app that is crawling some resources from the web to notify you, when your own site or application (or service) is mentioned in these resources.

    8. 1

      online reputation management

    9. 1

Google trend on steroids (in a good way ;-))

    10. 1

Wow, a place to discover where a person or a business is mentioned. An interesting solution for a problem for must online business owners. It will be good for online stores, influencers, and digital marketing agencies (social media, media).

      I hope that helps.

    11. 1

Monitoring when something is said referencing your specified topic, and getting an alert/email when it happens. (interesting)

    12. 1

What makes this different from Google Alerts?

      1. 2

GA is pretty broken. It only monitors what's on Google News, so it misses anything that doesn't come from a major news outlet. It also doesn't let you build complex queries. It's great for following broad topics, but really lacking when it comes to monitoring smaller companies/projects.

        1. 2

Hmm, good to know. I set up Google Alerts for my business(es) and I get notifications every now and then. Never really considered that it wouldn't be exhaustive.

          1. 2

It's a great tool when it works, for sure, and there certainly isn't any harm in using it in addition to other tools. It's just important to know that the results aren't exhaustive.

Visitors can find mentors and online courses in order to become an entrepreneur

      1. 1

That's exactly what we are doing. What do you think about the product?

        1. 3

On second glance, it looks like it is more general advice on switching careers, not necessarily become an entrepreneur. And I think you'll need to moderate the mentor section a bit more: If it's just an open platform for everyone, you will get people signing up from all over the place and visitors can't verify if someone is actually helping or just trying to build relationships or tell their story/show off.
But I generally like the direction, you just need to decide what one thing your users can accomplish.

          1. 1

Solid feedback! Thanks a lor. Do you mind if we connect on Twitter?

    2. 1

It took around 6 seconds to load the first page. I could not read enough in the last 4 seconds to get what the site is doing for me.

      L&D for aspiring/new entrepreneurs

Search jobs based on skill sets rather than a title search. Quite an interesting method and could be useful in the tech industry. I think the tech industry is the best place to explore.

      1. 1

Career Move is where professionals grow into high performing entrepreneurs. we do that by sharing successful entrepreneurs stories, connecting people with mentors, and recommending courses.

        What site did you visit?

        1. 2

I think I might have mixed yours up with someone else. My bad :/

          1. 1

I see. It happens to many of us. Mind checking careermove.io now?

I really would love to hear what you think about the product

            1. 2

I've have taken a look and I think the concept can help many people to develop great skills. I think an explanation video is useful for your product.

      1. 1

    2. 2

Credit card for those who can't get approved for one?

Find UI inspiration for your SaaS product.

      1. 1

It's not only UI. The key difference between similar UI inspiration websites is that on saasinspire you can also find interesting information about the website or company :)

        1. 1

    2. 2

An app that tracks your well-being through daily "check-ins" in slack?

    3. 2

A 'bot' for tracking how I'm doing. Super clear.

What I'm struggling with is the 'how'. Something I think is needed here, is an animated svg/video showing someone interacting with Dingo on slack. Much like the static image, but a real, live attention grabbing one right IN YOUR FACE.

I would use the real estate of pic of the fox for something more meaningful, like the above suggestion.

      Offset your carbon footprint

    2. 1

Reduce my carbon footprint, but I'm not sure how you do it, it's clear I have to pay money, but what is this money used for? How does it reduce my carbon footprint?

      1. 1

Thanks for the feedback! I'll need to make that clearer.

FYI we compensate your footprint with a combination of direct air capture (turning CO2 in the atmosphere to stone) and through tree planting.

This captures and removes CO2 from the atmosphere.

    3. 1

Site which somehow helps me to reduce the level of carbon I produce

      1. 1

Yup - if the "somehow" isn't clear I need to work on that (it's direct air capture and tree planting).

        Thanks!

        1. 2

Well, I got only 10 seconds as the rule says :)

    4. 1

an informational website that shows me how to lower my carbon footprint

      1. 2

Yup. We want to add more personalized tips in the future but for now we're focused on enabling people to compensate their carbon footprint

        1. 1

how do you differentiate from similar websites, like https://www.goingzerowaste.com/ ?

          1. 2

Right now we're actually focused on removal of CO2 emissions from the atmosphere whereas GoingZeroWaste is tips and instructions on getting to less emissions. Unfortunately it's impossible to live a completely carbon neutral life so we provide the bridge from low emissions to carbon neutrality (and even negative)

            1. 1

              Whose your target customer?

              1. 1

Climate conscious individuals looking to compensate.

Originally I built this for myself. I traveled but felt guilty and never found a suitable solution to compensate the extra emissions. I found Climeworks however they are very expensive and only compensate part of my footprint. So I contacted and partnered with them to make a compromise - we support direct air capture as it is an important technology for the future of our planet - but we combine this with tree planting to make compensating via capture and removal affordable for everyone.

                1. 2

                  Very cool.

My friend works for the Swiss government's climate team - happy to connect you! They're always looking for people like you.

Service which is a layer between my app and other apps which call webhooks on my app. Sometimes these hooks fail, so it's kind of service for getting control over this

      1. 1

Right on 🙌 We 'forward' the webhooks coming from different providers such as Shopify and enable you to monitor and retry those webhooks.

    2. 2

Helps you monitor whether your webhooks endpoints is online. However, not too sure what 'retries' mean in your 2nd sentence (could be just my knowledge lacking)?

      1. 1

It helps you monitor any kind of with your webhook really. Being offline is one of the possible issues but there a lot more things that can go wrong depending on what you do with the webhook. Inevitably it will fail every once in a while and being able to take action (retry) those that failed is a huge time saver! I wrote an article about it if you'd like to learn more 👍 https://medium.com/@AlexBouchard/dealing-with-webhooks-sucks-but-theres-something-you-can-do-about-it-2a23ceb8c42?source=friends_link&sk=c62aceaba4a9d4a452823755d090b840

    3. 2

Web hook retries in a box.

      1. 1

Webhook 📦. I like it! There is more than the retries, we really want to help you have stable and reliable webhooks and save you development and troubleshooting time. We do that by building infrastructure for you that can support large spikes in request, retries and alert you about everything that fails and give you the visibility into all your webhooks.

    4. 2

Auto-retry and wrapping layer for webhooks

      1. 1

That's right! A big part of it also has to do with reliability, visibility and traceability. You can save a lot of time now having to develop your own webhook management solution. Having historical data of your webhooks is also very valuable for debugging and troubleshooting. :)

A free SMTP server! It says it right at the top (I like that). A little bit more reading tells me it is similar to SendGrid, but I wouldn't describe SendGrid as an SMTP server. It's more of an API for sending email and marketing campaigns. In the 10 seconds allotted for this exercise, I wasn't able to tell if your service offers those sorts of tools, but my interest is piqued.

    1. 1

A website to help you implement a value investing strategy (which in my mind means "buy and hold", but I'm not sure that's correct). Plug and play data access layer for your database that offer CRUD functionality as REST API?

      1. 1

Almost. it offers an easy REST API per SQL query right now, so you still have to write all your own queries.

The eventual goal is to offer a way to automate the basic CRUD stuff, along with user auth and more.

      Affordable premium domain leasing service

    2. 2

Premium domains marketplace / broker agency?

    3. 1

Lease domains - not sure who would elect to lease a domain name - this isn't like leasing an office space or storefront from my perspective.

      1. 1

The idea is to be able to use a premium domain for marketing purposes that normally would not be affordable. Think of an 80K domain for a local pizza place to use for 3$ a month. Then have that idea extrapolated over several thousand places at the same time.

In terms of domaining - leasing is less popular than buying but it is frequently done - either way thank you for your comment!

Personal website builder, smth similar to about.me?

      1. 1

Quite right @guzguz. However, we are more focused on personal website for professionals.

    2. 1

Social media site, but maybe geared towards professionals?

      1. 1

Thanks @rambat, we are more of a personal website builder for professionals. Do you mind sharing why you think we are a social media site? I would love to rectify that.

        1. 1

I saw the personal website but didn't wait long enough for the "text-type" animation to complete so I looked to the rightmost image, which looked to be a profile type page.

The social media page comes from me trying to process all the images and reading the sub-header incorrectly. I then read the "Social media allows people within your network to find you. .." and i was just trying to figure out what was going on quickly and my interpretation was immediately a social media website type deal.

On a second review its more like an about.me page. This was mostly on me I would think.

Location based app that notifies you about interesting and engaging todos (adventures) near you?

    1. 2

      I'd say that's a climate change forum

      1. 1

Spot on, anything unclear or suboptimal in your opinion?

        1. 2

Well I know you try to run straight into the content, but I believe it wouldn't hurt to have a baseline somewhere at the top just reminding what's this about and how much YOU (the reader) can make this community better by sharing your idea or something. It definitely would be good for newcomers

          1. 1

Makes sense, I played around with a pop up modal for first time visitors in addition to a more informational landing page. Ultimately the content-first approach had the best results on traffic. Your subtle message at the top idea might be the best of both worlds. Thanks for the suggestion!

        Yeah I guess that's pretty clear :)

      1. 1

That's a very concise way of saying it!

        1. 2

I tried to really stick by the 10 seconds rules :) Was I right?

          1. 1

Yes! Although, they're a little more than that. They come in 1-month packs. You can use them "as is" if you just need to get your social media profiles going and don't have time to customize the content.

Images are 100% ready-to-post if you want, and you can copy/paste the text and make slight modifications if you want.

            1. 1

Yeah I guess I was a bit overwhelmed with the 10 secs to see all of that, too much text I believe. My eyes were going left right and down to "You’re getting burnt out trying to do it all yourself" maybe the text on the left is too long, and maybe the text I quoted shouldn't appear on the first screen. Finally an idea for your main visual, I'd find it better with multiple colors somehow like you have on the products page. Otherwise sounds like a great idea, I'm not much in the social media world, but looks good.

              1. 1

thanks so much for the feedback!

This looks great! A tool that will sync data between apps/databases so everything is up-to-date.

      1. 1

That is correct 🙌 Thx for the feedback!

    2. 2

Not sure if this is an ETL or a tool that reads data from multiple sources.
Guess that some kind of ETL but it wasn't clear.
I think you should have some concrete examples.

      1. 1

        That's great feedback.

While you are here, would having a diagram that shows where Census "fit" in the stack or data process would help?

        1. 2

          Yes, it can help.
Also if this is a UI for non-developers, you can show a screenshot.

    1. 2

Looks cool but, personally, I tend to bounce when I can't see a pricing page.

      1. 2

Also, you probably want to get rid of that Hello World blog post 😅
        https://kogram.io/hello-world/

        1. 2

Haha yeah, yesterday I integrated a blog into the landing page, but It's still in progress. I should have commented out the blog in the nav bar. Thanks for the catch :)

      2. 1

That's a great idea to add! Do you like seeing just one price or 3 options?

        1. 2

Depends on the product, the important point for me is that the pricing model is clear and easy to find.

          1. 1

Yeah you're totally right, why signup for a service when they'll charge you 50% of your monthly earnings hah. I'm thinking a flat fee of $30/month, that slowly grows every 1000 subscribers.

    2. 2

reminds me Buffer, I used it for some time.

A way to publish products across multiple ecommerce platforms such as Etsy, Ebay, etc..

    2. 1

      Multichannel e-commerce platform.
How do you manage the different requirements between platforms?
And do you also sync the orders to one holistic dashboard?
And do you manage inventory sync?

      1. 1

Great question, we find the sweet spot for all the different requirements. For example, Poshmark only allows 40 characters in the title but Ebay is 80, so therefore 40 characters are only allowed.

Syncing orders is a future feature, not done yet but at the moment it would be done through Ebay/Etsy API's for those two accounts.

Inventory Sync could be done by deleting a listing on Spred which would delete everywhere else!

    2. 1

I think you need to have one short clear message that tells what it is.
Even after reading some text I wasn't sure what exactly it is.
Try get inspiration from similar platforms that connect providers with clients like fiverr. I understand that it's not the same, but you can learn how they convey their message.

Also mobile version is a must.

      1. 1

Can you check it out again - www.powow.ca

        Thanks

        1. 1

          Cool, much better!
Now I guess your challenge is how to have 2 messages for 2 audienced. Pro and customers.
I think your home page should be for the customers. Something like "find interesting online sessions given by pros"
Like airbnb homepage is for the customers. Fiverr, amazon, etsy, ets - all of them face the customers, not the sellers. Maybe with a button somewhere "be one of our pros".
And then you'll have to have landing pages and marketing to bring the pros

    3. 1

"This site can't be reached" 😕

      1. 1

Sorry about that, fixed the typo. Please try again

        1. 1

No worries! Just checked it out. I understand it's a platform similar to Fiverr where people can offer what they are good at and then get hired for specific gigs. Perhaps the main description was a bit misleading to me, maybe you could just say something like "get paid for doing what you are good at".

          1. 1

Thanks for the feedback. However, our target audience is more professionals whoa re unable to make it out to work. Like Wellness experts, Coaches, etc. Instead of managing meetings + zoom (hangouts). It's one platform to manage your leads, customers and back-office support (payments, analytics etc.)

            Would love feedback, thanks

            1. 1

Okay I see! Maybe you could mention that it's a platform that makes it easier for freelancers to manage their online gigs.

              1. 1

Can you check it out again - www.powow.ca
                Thanks

                1. 1

I think everything's more clear now! Seeing the different activities from the very beginning definitely helps to understand which kind of "live sessions". Perhaps I would increase the font size of the "Why", "As a Pro?", etc. as it feels weird to me seeing them so small. However, that block of information might be a bit tedious to read, as there's a lot of text, maybe you could add a specific block for each of the four paragraphs and maybe put an illustration next to it. Does that make sense?

                  1. 1

Here there, thanks for all your feedback, we have made some more updates and would love your feedback. www.powow.ca

                    1. 1

Hey, looking better! Perhaps I would put the images of the activities before the "why?", "customers", etc. Also, make the "Sign Up" in "customers" more visible.

      1. On mobile the hero section looks bad
      2. It's an app that your customers get to install via qr code and through that get push notifications from you. I think that installing an app is a higher barrier than registration to my site. BUT - something you can do it give me a unique URL that I will send my customers to, and it will offer them to register to web push notifications.
        The benefits-
      3. No registration and also no installation!
      4. Web push notifications work in mobile and on desktop
      5. Unique URL is something I can publish not just via qr code, but also via messaging, social networks, etc

      Nice idea!

      1. 1

        Hey Dan,

We've added newsletter signup form on the page https://www.beeinformed.app
If you still think Bee Informed is nice idea and would like to see it in action, jump in so you can get updates. No spam.

      2. 1

        Hey,

Thanks for pointing hero section problem with mobile.

Tell me, did you get the impression that it's a 1:1 app for that particular business or it's a app that you can use on several places, i.e. wherever you find Bee QR. Something like twitter, install once, then follow whoever you want.

At the moment, QR content is actual unique link, and it's a dynamic link actually, leading you to the appropriate app stores or web view (not yet finished). So it's share-able already.

Thanks for the hints on web push notifications. It will definitely break the barrier. Had those thoughts some time ago, maybe it's time to revisit it.

        1. 1

I assumed that it's one app that your business is using to allow all customers (like me) to talk to all of their customers. From the end user perspective they can get push notifications from multiple businesses

    1. 2

took a lot longer than 10 seconds for me to figure out what it was, but it's actually a lot cooler than i initially suspected. i had to watch the video to figure it out, i would strongly suggest putting that above the fold next to learn more.

basically, it's a gifted website that sends content to a friend via sms one day at a time

      1. 2

Thanks for the compliment Erik! I also think it is pretty cool.

I also commented this below, but the placement of the landing video is pretty interesting. When A/B testing the landing page, the product video was initially the first thing that autoplayed at the top, but very few people watched it. They would immediately scroll past and look for other ways to learn about the product, and then give feedback that they wouldn't watch the video.

Starting with the slightly vague but interesting hook actually got more people to scroll and interact with the examples and watch the video.

    2. 2

Generate a website for you and your closest friends and family, where you can send messages to each other. Each Gyft relates to a specific event that's worth celebrating, and you can generate messages that relates to that event. But each Gyft doesn't last forever, as messages need to consistently be sent. Yes? No?

    3. 2

custom websites given like greeting cards.
I had to watch the video to understand the product, you may want to put that at the top of the page.

      1. 2

I agree, the landing page is quite vague (e.g. The gyft that keeps on giving). But the video explanation is very clear and well-produced. Too bad users have to scroll down + see the "Watch Video" button + Press the button to actually watch the video.

        1. 1

Thanks for all the comments ya'll!

      I think the sub header:

      1. Remove "no ugly style" , talk about the positive (adapts to your website design) and not about the negative
      2. "Try now without signup" should be a call to action button, not a link

    2. 2

An alternative for presentations, however I'm not sure how. I wasn't able to see what your product does in the first 10 seconds.

Didn't read the modal/popup text at the start, way too much text. Otherwise on the page itself, I'm wondering if there's a way of showing like a real demo/animation of exactly what can be done.

I watched the video, but it felt too long, also think it's not easily noticed.

I think the landing page has way too much text. In my experience, show people what your product is with simple, IN YOUR FACE pics/animations/"expo".

BTW Really like the idea!! Powerpoint sucks and is still the go to tool!?

      Cheers,
      Pieter

    3. 1

There's a big dissonance between your message (8 seconds of attention) to the amount of text in each of your paragraphs, and especially in the popup.
      The video explains well.

It does but the issue is that there is too much text to explain that. Try to sum it up in one short sentence. For example, "Business Connections with People Like You."

What's your target? From what I understand I'd say you're trying to provide data collection service for static websites, maybe you should mention that if I'm right. But the initial heading is good maybe just shorten it "Collect data without server".

      From 10-seconds of time spent, I think it's a front-end form builder.

Probably the first one. But I’m still confused about how it works and what problem it solves. Since it’s only comprised of user input components, that doesn’t eliminate the need for the backend of a website. Unless your entire website is just a bunch of forms without any sort of content management. Maybe I just need to read more of the landing page.

I've spent so much time looking for things like this. It's a auto-generated Privacy Policy for your business. I assume users just do simple fill-in-the-blank process to create their own custom policy.

Customised privacy policy for your business. Nice idea. Is it designed to be global policy or are you focused on a specific country?

      1. 1

fwiw, "Boost your sales today with Social Oracle" means nothing to me. i'd maybe put your social oracle logo in the top left corner for brand recognition, but set your header to a quick and clear "boost sales with social proof" because if i wasn't spending a full 10 seconds per page in this exercise, i don't think i would've stuck around long enough to learn that :)

the site loaded very very fast. nice. What I expect by reading the first sentence is: You can leave messages (audio recordings) for people who do podcasts ?! So if you dont want to contact them directly, you let this site store the recording and the site is contacting the podcaster for you?

Isn’t it very extensive let pople know that your service exists? Ok - well - that’s always the case but I mean if I want to reach out to a Podcaster, what might happen only a very few times, I would not expect to find something like your app but would reach out to his/her website to write an email. Why is your service limited to contact podcasters?

    7. 1

record audio and post directly onto website

Move your current Location module further to the bottom, the animation thing is a distraction and doesn't go with the rest of the page look and feel, I would say remove it completely. If that entire first panel wasn't there your site would be more appealing and understandable.

Ah interesting - now you mention it I can kind of see it but in the beginning I found it quite blocky and unclear.

Idea is great but think maybe some better graphics/more obvious trees would have made it more obvious to me :-)

Yup I was also really happy to see yours too!

We're in contract negotiations at the moment one of which has taken months unfortunately but is nearing close but I would say the biggest challenge is growth! We have a few subscribers at the moment but growth rate is slow. Building the product is definitely the easy part ;-)

How about you? How did you come up with the idea for Thank You Trees?

      Plan trees as a gift?

Perhaps you can place the project information at the top of your page? It is a bit confusing when you encounter the form/animation first.

If I put an info banner at the top, then it wouldn't make sense if the form is in the middle of the page.

Maybe you can have a banner (hero) with project information at the top and your form at the bottom of the page? In your banner, have a call to action (e.g., "Gift Trees Now") that takes people to that form.
