What we're working on: Momentum, a personal planner app that works the way our brains work. HelloMomentum.app.
Revenue: we're 15 days into a Kickstarter that has 227 backers and $23,409 in funding. We plan to release V1 of the product in June.
Helpful tips and learnings:
we're adapting a 10 year old pdf planner product with over 1M downloads. Our customers have been asking for something like this for years. We primed our audience for the KS campaign for a month before it went live, showing them previews and asking them to follow the campaign.
we've been laying the groundwork for this launch for over a year, seeding design concepts and building relationships with influencers in our niche. This has resulted in a few great media moments in the last couple of weeks. We landed a post on a local Portand tech blog, Silicon Florist, and we have an interview with a local business publication tomorrow.
we started talking to some productivity influencers very early on, and this week one of our cofounders landed a Youtube Live interview with him on his channel (Mike Vardy of Productivityist)
we're intentionally seeking out successful creatives to partner with on IG Live to talk about how creative people can be organized. So far we've landed a few artists with 50k+ followers to talk to our audience
general breakdown of new people who backed our campaign: Average pledge $103. About 20% of our backers have come directly from Kickstarter's Discovery tools, the rest from our emails, social media, and influencer coverage.
Congrats! Kickstarter URL?
What is "10 year old pdf planner product "?
We sell a personal planner that is a pdf download. We also have a paper planner, but the pdf planner is a LOT more popular. https://www.kickstarter.com/projects/teampf/momentum-planner
