Show IH: Spectalist – A minimalist movie & TV watchlist built to master deployment
Hi everyone!
I’ve just launched Spectalist, a minimalist web app to explore movies, TV shows, directors, and actors.
Why I built it: I’m a huge cinema fan, but I was tired of bloated, slow databases. I wanted a clean, fast space to manage my personal watchlist.
More importantly, I used this project as a challenge to master the deployment phase. I wanted to experience the full journey of taking an app from my local machine to a live, production-ready environment with a working login system.
I’d love your help: Since the app is brand new (0 users so far!), I’m looking for some "early adopters" to break things. I’d really appreciate it if you could:
Visit the site and try the search/navigation.
Create an account and test the watchlist feature.
