Hey Indie Hackers! ๐
Iโm an freelance Android developer. Over the past few years, Iโve noticed how most people around me struggle with money โ not because they donโt care, but because the tools to manage it are either too complicated, too bloated, or not built for everyday use.
That frustration (and my own struggles keeping track of spending) led me to start building Spendoa.
Spendoa is a budgeting and expense tracking app that helps you:
Track income and expenses with just a few taps
Set savings goals and stick to them
Get reminders for recurring bills so you never miss a payment
Visualize your money with clear reports and insights
Work fully offline-first, keeping your data private and in your control
Unlike many personal finance apps, Spendoa doesnโt sell your data or push you into complex financial products. Itโs built with the philosophy of โyour money, your control.โ
MVP is live (still improving every week)
Currently self-funded through my freelance work ๐ป
Localized for multiple languages ๐
Working on onboarding flow and smarter insights
Early users are testing it and giving feedback
Simplicity: Designed for daily use, not just finance geeks.
Privacy: Works offline-first, no forced cloud dependency.
Global mindset: Localized for different regions and currencies from day one.
When you tried budgeting apps, what frustrated you most?
How important is offline + privacy-first for you in financial tools?
Would you pay for a one-time premium unlock, or do you prefer subscription models for budgeting apps?
Any must-have features you think most budgeting apps miss?
