Oh, I miss London... Can you give me a one-sentence summary of how the startup scene is these days?

And awesome work with the videos. The trailer is 110% pro. Bookmarked and will watch some.

As far as I personally observed; it is starting from a position of not being so open to risk (in both investment and people decisions) but becoming more attuned with SF as time passes.

Hey Ozan, that's great! I subscribed to your channel and watched the Perlego video. Nice video production, with multiple camera angles, nice cut aways and b roll. I'm sure you have it in mind, but I would try to use a lapel mic if you can to avoid that echo. What's the business model for your site and channel? Are you trying to build it up as an authority site?

I'm a London resident myself and have just left working at a startup in Vauxhall, that I co-founded (in The Handbag Factory, where there were loads of startups). If you know of any London startups that are in need of a tech lead or virtual CTO, please do put them in touch! See my thread.

    Oh, and good luck!

      Hey!
Agreed with the lapel mic suggestions, that's been a weak spot with the previous videos but will be fixed in the 2020 content! Still figuring out the business/revenue model. One idea is to charge for the creation of all this content to startups as it serves their brand. The other is sponsorships for the website.

Re CTO suggestion, I'll keep that in mind!

Yeah, charging the startups could work. A decent talking heads video can be great for a startup to get over their value proposition. We did this video for example https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=j8sj9GTOjME for a startup. You can give them the interview for free and then up-sell them on the well produced talking heads video.

          This is interesting...
We actually did something similar. Upsold a 1 minute "life in x" type of video without our watermark so that they could use it in their about pages, job ads and so on. But I don't it is "the way" to grow this.
