The hardest part wasn't the AI

I've been building WorkZo AI for the past few months.

What surprised me most wasn't the technology.

It was realizing how different real interviews are from interview preparation tools.

Most tools ask a question, wait for an answer, then move on.

Real recruiters don't.

They interrupt.
They challenge vague answers.
They ask unexpected follow-ups.
They become more or less interested based on what you say.

That's the problem I'm trying to solve with WorkZo AI.

Instead of practicing questions, the goal is to help people practice recruiter conversations.

Still early, still in beta, but every week I'm learning more about what makes an interview feel genuinely human.

If you've interviewed recently, what's one thing that made the experience stressful or unpredictable?
