Hey Indie Hackers 👋
After months of building, I finally launched TimedURL — a tool that lets you create short links that automatically expire at a set time or after a certain duration. Once expired, the link redirects to a fallback destination of your choice (like a homepage, waitlist, or archive).
I got tired of seeing expired content still circulating with dead links — old event pages, limited offers, closed beta invites, etc. It’s a poor user experience and makes people lose trust. And fixing it manually is a pain.
With TimedURL, you set the expiry before you share. It handles the rest.
Marketers running time-limited campaigns
Content creators sharing short-lived offers
Event organizers, community builders, and anyone who wants control over link lifespan
People who value clean, intentional content distribution
✅ Set an exact expiry time or duration
✅ Add a fallback URL for expired links

✅ No ads or branding
I’m working on improving analytics
Zapier and automation integrations are in the pipeline
Actively gathering feedback for improvements
I’d love your thoughts — especially on:
Any pain points you’ve had with sharing time-sensitive links
Features you think are essential before you'd use a tool like this
