Two users asked me to build a mobile app for FitnessChief this week.

I said no. And shipped this in 2 days instead: → PWA — install on home screen like a native app. No App Store needed. → Web push notifications — daily reminders without React Native or App Store review → Email reminders + redesigned templates that finally look like a real product Two days. Zero app store drama. The temptation to build a native app is real. It feels like the "proper" thing to do. But as a solo founder with a day job — React Native would have cost me 2-3 months. PWA gave me 80% of the experience in 2 days. Sometimes the scrappy solution is just the right solution.
