Today I am finally showing off my project volleyhead.com. The idea is to create an experience that's something like walking into a skate shop, where the guy behind the desk just knows everything about the scene.
A few months ago I [https://www.indiehackers.com/post/i-have-no-clue-what-im-doing-help-me-please-91198c0b5d](posted on the Indie Hackers forum) hoping to get some advice for a test project that moved faster than I thought it would. I made https://sandcourts.info/, a site where you could list your local beach volleyball courts. I got about 60 courts on it and realized that I could pretty easily build something else. I had no idea what to do and in a panic wrote on the forum. You guys helped me realize that there were some pretty simple steps I could take to get started moving forwards. So I decided to do some learning and work on my front end skills. I decided to learn React. Spent about 3 weeks playing with it then got super into the project and was off.
The last few weeks I've been working with a buddy to really nail down the copy, logos and all that. This has been an awesome exercise in patience, and discipline. It's been cool to go on Indie Hackers and learn as well as see that other people are doing the same things as I am. Thanks for the help!
If you guys have any comments or advice I would love to hear them! Some things still look funky but its definitely on the way.
