Excellent work on the development of your app! One thing that can be motivated for people dealing with stress is also to look externally-how the stress in their life affects those around them. The idea of the cat companion could give users the vision that their journey to peace is also benefitting others-with this cat being a representation of that.

One question, is there a 'regression' for the cat if the user stops using the app and isn't demonstrating any level of commitment/progress? Of course, progress in this area is difficult to measure as everyone is different-but just ignoring it or reverting to their normal stress-filled standard of living. Things like notifications that 'your cat is starving!' or '*cat name* is neglected. He/she needs you! Take a minute to check in'.

Also, something for the future may be a widget option that can be integrated into the iPhone that makes the app a bit more visible and accessible. Perhaps premium users could customize the icon/widget with their cat?

One other random thought I had was if the cat had a 'listening mode'. I know it sounds silly, but if there was an option where the person can talk to the cat as a silent, attentive listener as they unpack the amount of stress they're carrying?

    Anyway, great job!

Thank you so much for this incredibly thoughtful feedback, it truly means a lot! ๐Ÿ™

I really love how you framed the idea of the cat as a symbol not just of self-care, but of how our emotional state impacts those around us. That external reflection that our calm benefits others is powerful, and aligns beautifully with the vision behind StressLess.

      As for your question:
Currently, the cat doesnโ€™t regress or "suffer" if the app isnโ€™t used I wanted to avoid adding guilt or pressure, especially for users already feeling overwhelmed. But your point about soft, emotional nudges like "[cat name] misses youโ€ฆ" or "Your cat feels distant today" could be a more empathetic way to re-engage users without making them feel judged. Iโ€™m definitely going to explore that balance further. ๐Ÿ™Œ

Widgets and customization are absolutely on the roadmap! Iโ€™m especially excited about the idea of premium cat styles, naming your companion, and even placing a little live widget on your home screen to bring a moment of calm to your day.

And I love the idea of a โ€œlistening mode.โ€ Not silly at all sometimes we just need to talk, even if no oneโ€™s replying. A quiet, non-judgmental space where the cat simply โ€œsits with youโ€ could be incredibly comforting. Maybe it starts as a voice note journal feature with light animations of the cat listening? That has real emotional potential.

Thank you again for the encouragement and the ideas. Itโ€™s feedback like this that helps shape StressLess into something truly meaningful. If you have more thoughts, Iโ€™m all ears (and so is the cat ๐Ÿ˜ธ)!
