We overhauled our landing page - critique us!

We spent some time tuning our landing page to better find a market niche. The team is wondering if the website will get our intended message across. It's a virtual whiteboard to help teams manage project content.

What do you guys think?

Hey, awesome job with the overhaul! I’ve been looking at a lot of landing pages recently to get more inspiration for my own product’s landing page, and yours really stands out.

    What I think works well:

    • Your headline + demo video are very strong. I originally didn’t think I’d need a product like this, but after viewing the video, I’m tempted to migrate my planning docs and internal Trello roadmap over to Ryeboard. It seems simple to use and very customizable!
    • I like that below the main banner, you lead with the pain (projects are scattered across apps), transition into a better solution that everyone is familiar with (whiteboards), and then connect that idea back to Ryeboard
    • Your overall copy (“Stop working with pieces of your vision” really stood out to me) is very strong
    • The design is clean (you clearly establish your branding) and readable. Nothing feels unnecessary / over the top

    What I’d recommend:

    • Add a testimonials / social proof section whenever you can — I think this would really speak to anyone who’s on the fence about using Ryeboard
    • In the “You’re doing a lot of things” section, I would change the verbs to the present progressive (e.g. “Share documents...” -> “Sharing documents”, “Use apps…” -> “Using apps”). This implies what people are currently doing
    • Having a “Features” link that either links to another page or scrolls down to the “Here are some other really cool…” section. I’ve recently learned that most people visiting a saas landing page are looking for “Features” + “Pricing” sections
    • Change the “Here are some other really cool stuff on Ryeboard” line because it sounds a bit awkward —> “With Ryeboard, you can also / Here’s what else you can do with Ryeboard / Here are some other cool things you can do with Ryeboard” or something along those lines.
    • Organize the footer into sections (“Company”, “Support”, etc. Most sites do this nowadays, and I also want to do this for my site) to make it more organized. Looking through my open tabs, the first example I have is https://www.hotjar.com/

What I’d recommend if you’ve got the time (these are more nice to haves):

    • Have an “Examples” page with various use cases (anything visual -- images, gifs/videos, or a read-only version of a few boards -- could work!)
    • Have a “Compare” / “Case studies” page where you compare alternatives / old solutions to Ryeboard and further drive home why people should switch

Just my 2 cents, but hope it helps somewhat?

Overall, though, this is a very strong landing page in my opinion (it got me to sign up and check out the product!). Kudos again for getting this out!

Excellent feedback @asitwala! Already applied some of your quicker ideas to the website.

I'm glad our message got through to you.

Thanks again for taking the time to write this (very high quality) list of feedback for us :)

@asitwala 's feedback is on point! Just one thing I would add. The thumbnail in the hero section didn't come off as a video to me before I saw this comment from @asitwala. It looked more like a screenshot than a video thumbnail. Probably a good idea to have a "play button" or video-player elements to make it stand out better.

All the very best with Ryeboard! 👍😊

No problem at all, and happy to help! Keep up the good work! 💪

@asitwala already did a fantastic job providing recommendations. I don't really have anything new to add. It feels really good, and your value proposition is very clear. If you ever need some UX/UI support as you expand your product, hit me up. I'm the founder of DesignJoy.co.
