Hey IHers! 👋
What are you working on? Share a link to your project or startup below and get valuable feedback from the community + get discovered by early customers.
We're launching a newsletter (Secrets of Storytelling) that helps founders supercharge their messaging & presentations using storytelling 🔥
I just came across your story here: https://www.indiehackers.com/post/how-to-use-storytelling-for-your-messaging-presentations-63abdd40c2
Great work!
Thank you!
Nice project! Great landing page and messaging
Thank you and glad to hear. We worked hard on the landing
Nice landing page!
Thank you @MoonSprout! What are you working on?
This is super interesting. I've been looking for something similar for a while to help with my storytelling
Happy to help Rand! Send over your project or question if you'd like 👌
Really cool idea and that example too. Good luck!
Thank you! We've been running our storytelling agency for about a decade now so we're trying to give back some of our knowledge through this newsletter
This looks great! I was just looking for some tips on how to tell better stories.
This comment was deleted 4 years ago.
Wow, that's interesting!
We're working on Paperless.io – Let me know what you think! I'd be happy to give you feedback on your website or however I can best help you.
Site looks awesome, did you build using the relume library?
Feedback on logo: I've seen all major brands with multi-weight logos switch to single weight. I wrote a newsletter with examples here:
https://mailchi.mp/48fc7935c562/14-magician-13559081
Obviously, the logo won't be a make-or-break on your UI design, but might save you some trouble looking dated down the road.
Thanks for your tip!
It looks incredibly polished. I like your UI and the idea too. If I have a use-case, e.g. B2B comms, I'll be sure to check it out. The name is great as well.
Very interesting! I love design of your platform. Maybe you could be interested in reducing some long links with our API at en.urlr.me?
https://www.nocode-guru.co/ >>>
No-Code Guru is a wise chatbot that will help you find the right No-Code tool to build your idea.
Yo dude that's wild I'm litteraly building a webapp called No-code Guru as well: https://nocodeguru.co/
It's a no-code and low-code recommandation platform, started 3 months ago 🤯
Whut, that's like creepy similar :') even the domain name...
cool! We're building an online chatbot platform, too! No-code, but with JavaScript features. We are now launching beta testing. It would be cool if you tell us your opinion about the platform http://App.inqoob.com
The easiest way to create interactive maps and images for your website. No coding required.
https://www.drawpoint.io
Incredibly slick landing page and great demonstration of value.
Who's your biggest target customer-wise?
Thanks!
Target market is very fragmented as you can imagine, so many different use-cases for interactive images. At the moment we're niching down on a few like e-commerce and real estate. Will see how that goes.
Hi iHackers — I’m new here.
If any of you use Jira, you might like what we’re building at Visor. It’s flexible & fast like a spreadsheet. And it syncs BOTH ways with Jira. We’d love your feedback!
Here’s a link to try Visor: https://www.visor.us.
Love the landing page, straight forward and chock full of CTAs. Makes me wonder if I'm missing out not building every single prospecting/landing page that way.
:) Thank you!
I wanted big, juicy, clickable CTAs all over the place. We're fortunate that our landing pages perform very well -- about 15% conversion rates from users arriving via SEM.
Nice initiative!
I'm building my first SaaS as a solo founder, https://tweetcopilot.com
It's a tool to engage on Twitter easier and to build an audience faster.
I realized that having an audience on Twitter could be a huge support if you are building in public, so I just wanted to solve my own problem (a 0 followers account and be someone who never had a presence on social media 😅)
Now it's in free open beta, but I'm releasing the paid version soon!
I'm sure you've heard of Black Magic (https://twitter.com/blackmagic_so) -- they're your competitor, might want to get inspiration from them -- he built-in-public relentlessly to get the word out.
Of course! I follow its creator since day 1. Even though I don't think we are direct competitors (blackmagic is more focused on analytics and deep insights about your audience and your account) I completely follow the development of it to get ideas and to know what people want
Trying it out now. Using the the auto generated replies feels a bit dishonest, but I really like the "Engagement" view as a way to discover tweets to engage with.
The main idea of that section is just to speed up and make it easier to engage with other accounts or keywords, I got your point on the reply suggestion tough. I usually use that feature just to get some replies to get inspired and also for replying to tweets faster. Thank you for your feedback!
We built a robust QR Code Generator with Tracking/Analytics.
https://autonix.io/
Working on validation, landing page optimization, and product-fit adjustments.
Any IH members interested in the product, happy to offer 3 months free all features in exchange for feedback.
Also interested in talking to experienced founders looking for co-founder role (2 roles: Engineering Lead, BD/Marketing).
DM if interested.
Hey OpenTeam.
Nice Idea and great website. I was playing with a similar idea myself but never got as far are you have. Have you had much response yet?
Cheers
Mark
TL;DR No
I have a longer answer to your yes or no question. I backdoored into the concept. End of 2020 came up with an idea on Visitor Management as a response to COVID. After the hysteria of COVID calmed down, I was left with a feature-light Visitor Management platform but a great foundation for a scalable tracking platform. The response there was warm but it was clear that to compete we'd have to spend a lot of time to build a lot of features in a direction we werent super excited about.
I come from a 20+ yr entrepreneurial career in performance marketing (mostly D2C), so took the pieces we did really well and repackaged the product with more tracking metrics. We launched this feature set about 2 months ago and are now working on finding the market. Getting closer but between testing marketing concepts and our engineering backlog, I still feel about 1-3 months out from creating repeatable acquisition.
Biggest hangup right now is there is an education component, ie. a designer looking to put a QR Code in a print ad isnt really going to be familiar with the benefits of knowing Impressions, CTR, Conversions for every QR Code they place. So working on communicating that, as well as getting them in the door without giving away too much of the product for free.
I'm working on StandupWizard, a Slack bot that runs asynchronous standups for distributed teams
A client uses Geekbot (https://geekbot.com/) right now -- what would you say your value prop is over them? Any distinguishing factors?
A /vs/geekbot URL or blog article might be valuable to create and SEO boost...
Interestingly enough I had used Geekbot way back and a big driving force for StandupWizard's design was around things I wasn't a fan of with Geekbot. For example, Geekbot uses more of a conversational reporting format where you send your responses and "talk" to the bot, however this significantly slows down reporting and occasionally if Slack rate limits are hit (or server load), you can be stuck waiting a while before you can even finish your report.
In addition to that, I'm working on a couple features I wish were included in Geekbot outside of the basic ones. Great idea on the article / comparison page, I see that type of thing frequently.
Nice. Lots of potential in that idea.
Thank you!
Hey fellow iHackers 👋
Building https://twitter.com/thriftmvp an early revenue MVP marketplace. If any of you want to sell your past / abandoned projects feel free to DM us so we can get you on our listing!
Cool idea, glad to see another app marketplace out there -- looks like it's quite the hot space lately, essentially the real estate agents of the software world.
A thought on the copy for your twitter bio:
"About 90% of startups fail. They all currently live on github graveyards. Does that mean they should stay on graveyards? No."
I think that could be much tighter. Something like "90% of startups head to the github graveyard. Some of them deserve a second chance."
Also IMO you should change the page title (still says "Create Next App"), and invest in a custom domain...
Really like this change, I might adopt it!
I decided for this project to first build an audience then start building, so I fell a bit behind on development but should catch up in the next week or so.
It's funny because I bought a domain first thing but I focused so much on having conversations and completely forgot to change it haha
Well I definitely think building the audience is more important! If it takes less than an hour then maybe it's not worth changing it.
As we all do!
I really love this idea. As we all know failure can occur for many different reasons... and someone with the right ingredient. But how do you get the word out there so people know about you?
We currently reach out to individual founders on places where they hang out (twitter, indie hackers, etc.) and through cold emails.
Once we get an MVP we look out for seasoned founders / investors who work on a similar industry to said MVP and reach out to them.
It works for now because we are just starting but that approach won't really scale well. My goal after we get through the grind stage is to build our twitter audience and start growing organically.
I'm a developer by trade, not great at marketing yet haha so if you have any thoughts on this let me know!
I've just launched a graphic design service as a monthly subscription like brett did with designjoy: https://crea.guide
Wish me luck and please send over anyone who has recurring graphic design needs. I've got 15 years of experience in the field. I also provide dev option.
I need 4 to 5 customers to change my family's life 🤯.
I tried this back in 2018 with Cheap Designs. I built a website over a weekend on Wix (i'm no designer). I had a lot of interest but no actual sign-ups. A friend of mine told me to focus on and grow Hunter. So that's what I've done.
Hey thank you for your comment.
2018 was early and the market is still not mature for this kind of offer.
Would you mind telling me how did you market it? did you contact people on LinkedIn, cold email, or just advertised the website it self?
The problem with "Cheap designs" is that people could find cheap design for free everywhere. if it was really the concept. whereas my service and designjoy offer a premium service from an expertise.
Hunter is a branding agency that is well established and premium. So Cheap Design was mainly set up for the little project leads that would come through via Hunter. Whilst it was called "Cheap" the work was still very high quality. I was testing the market to see if there was demand. Which there was. But... prob. like working on too many things at once... I didn't give it my 100%.
In regards to marketing Cheap Designs. I used all my contacts and network from Hunter.
I hope that helps.
thanks for the insight. if you need a graphic designer for hunter don't hesitate to contact me 🤣🤣
Just want to thank you for sharing this -- it feels like starting businesses would be so much easier if what people tried that failed (and why it failed) was more obvious and maybe even searchable.
That said, projects on the landing page look pretty good, it does look convincing. Also, graphic design seems like a much more dangerous niche -- you're much more likely to get more requests for random graphics than the designs that are the scale of what designjoy seems to offer.
Congrats on the launch, Arnaud!

Profile banners for Twitter, made easy.
Great idea - what are your next steps?
I'm happy to give feedback! I'm building paperless.io.
Thanks @Garreis_Jonathan! Next steps are increasing the amount of banners and allow to style them (color/font). Give it a try and let me know what you think!
BTW paperless is really impressive!
Thanks!
That's a really cool home page! Well done.
Thanks @pheonix! I'll start building in public as a way to keep me going on this side project. Make sure to follow me to not miss updates :)
Will you try the service? It's free!
Good idea about the building in public part! Aha..to be honest, I'm not exactly the target user you are looking for. That said, it's a nice project and I have a couple of friends who are always on the lookout to spice their profiles up. I'll definitely share your project with them :)
Thank you for sharing, much appreciated! I started it because I'm never quite happy with what I put in my Twitter profile banner so instead of spending time to find an image or something I thought it might be better to build a tool to produce such banners.
shotstories.co
Collaborative art gallery builder for photographers.
I receive a 'This connection is not private' error when I try to access your link :/

Our side hustle https://rightful.company is a food & beverage innovation business. As mentioned a little while ago on IH we've launched our MVB. Now I'm trying to pull the team together and raise some capital. As you all know this takes lots of time and while I'm up for the challenge... it means splitting my time between Hunter and the new side hustle.

Eurotripr.com - I want to help inspire more people to plan trips to Europe. It is my 'neverending' project and I am failing to take my own advice of 'fail fast, fail often' but I want this to be a go-to resource and community for wannabe Eurotrippers.
Right now it is just a small collection of Traveler Interviews and a "hidden' curataion of countries and cities with Country costs and details and COVID travel details on the individual Country pages found via here: eurotripr.com/countries
Hoping to push something useful to travelers before May, but probably missed the big Europe travel planning season for this year.
Cool project! Norway seems a bit off, all stats seem opposite of the truth 🧐
Can I ask if you were talking about the Costs and Details data sections of Norway (https://eurotripr.com/countries/norway -> 'Costs' tab & 'Details' tab OR were you talking about the bar chart scores for 'Overall', 'Fun', 'Safety', 'Cost', 'Internet' on Hover of the Norway country image card?
If it was the bar chart scores, those are not live / accurate data for any countries yet...just dummy minimal data until I get my formulas working accuarately on the back end.
Just wanted to clarify because I am hopeful that my Cost data is being curated as accurately as possible using 3rd party sites/data.
Yes, it was the bar charts, so then it makes more sense :)
It is definitely possible. I curated the data from a number of cost-of-living, travel, and other sites. I am hoping when I launch all parts live, that I can get travelers to crowdsource data for costs and make it much more accurate. But we'll see.
Working on Hyper Saas, a Django and React saas boilerplate & starter kit.

Hi Jai!
While I can't post a link (other than my professional LinkedIn, Twitter, and Instagram) yet, I can tell you what I'm working on!
I plan on launching my own news media website with the main subjects consisting of American football, Wrestling, some pop culture, essays, interviews, and mental health related content. I've been working on the cover art and kinks for a year. I still can't decide whether to go with Go Daddy, Squarespace, or Wix.
Go Daddy uses WordPress.org. That means plenty of useful plug-ins. But it also means it's not design friendly if you don't know coding.
So, while I'm putting the finishing touches on the banner and future podcast cover art, I decided to sign up for Revue and make a newsletter comprised of similar subjects so the fans I've already made through social media marketing, won't be more disappointed than they likely are already.
As soon as my first Revue issue is done, I will post it here immediately. Until then, you can check out my LinkedIn profile to see some of my best work- https://www.linkedin.com/in/annabellah
Or my professional Twitter @RingArnd
My Flowpage should be done soon. All links will be available.
Thanks for letting me be a part of your community!

I've just redesigned my portfolio - https://pokornydavid.com
I help startups (mostly based in 🇦🇺 & 🇺🇸) to build engaging websites that can help them to grow at any stage. Mostly SaaS & Fintech...
Things have been going super well so I've decided to push my biz and portfolio. New branding, I've set up analytics and tracking on my site, and more!
Hi David, great to hear things are going well. I have been thinking of branching out on my own for sometime but always battle with the concept of finding clients. Would love to hear more about your experience with this?
Hi, thanks! Yeah finding the right (i feel like the word right is super important hehe) can be tough. As my niche is SaaS / FinTech in Australia -> I try to position myself as an expert in that industry.
It's still in the early stages ...I've just passed two yrs in business. So there's a long way to go to become an expert.
In the very beginning, I found clients through Upwork, Gumtree, Facebook, Reddit, and mostly - referrals.
What questions do u have? Happy to answer any. You work for an agency or what do u do?
Hi David, I am based in Canada and currently working for an NSO (non-profit sports organization) where I am their digital content editor. Meaning, I manage their WordPress Website and create creative digital content for them (videos, blogs etc)
I have wanted to go freelance and have tried many times but always struggle with marketing and finding clients of value (willing to pay a decent rate, not want me to work for free etc.)
I have found clients through Upwork in the past as well but they were often low paying tbh. I never thought about looking for clients via Reddit, that's very interesting.
I am just in the phase now of building out my plan and revamping my portfolio but finding enough work to keep me going is always a concern. I think finding a niche like you have could go a long way.
Hi, yeah, totally get your frustration.
To me, it was all about hard work in the early stages...F.e. I used to send 70 cold emails per day - all of them heaps personalised (to not sound like a spammer). Everyone has a totally different way of finding clients / getting started (it depends on location, skills, soft-skills, friends, etc.). The most important thing is to be aware of your costs, so you know for how long can you go without a gig and then dedication and patience combined.
So I used to Look up "landscaper Sydney" and contact all of the landscapers etc etc
I'm happy to discuss that more via email/twitter if you're keen. Happy to help.
Hi David, always open to discussing more and connecting. I am also considering a business coach once I get to a stage where I find myself really stuck. That being said so far Indie Hackers is proving great for networking and connecting.
My email is [email protected]
My Twitter handle is @jenniedleaver

My first public project! It's definitely got some issues but it's at the point that I am proud of what I've made: https://classifiedcarprices.com. It's a really simple site for tracking the prices of used cars from websites like Craigslist and Facebook Marketplace. Right now, it's only collecting data from the Midwest/South regions of the US.
My goals were to exercise my weak UI muscles a bit and to build something that my friends and I would find value in. I've learned that personally, sharing projects is much harder than building them.
Any feedback is appreciated!
