Working on huruworld.com
Easiest way to find sponsors for your podcast, newsletter and blog
I'm someone who is looking to sponsor a podcast or blog. Does your service help for advertisers or just podcasts?
Also on your front page you have a typo. "partners for your newsletter, podcast or bog. "
Hey Shane, we might be able to help you. Checkout: podion.co
Thanks for the typo. I have fixed it.
RE: I'm someone who is looking to sponsor a podcast or blog.
I will reach out via the email on your bio
Recording the first episode of my new Podcast! https://practical.fm
Out of curiosity why a podcast and not video format??
If I was showing the actual coding, then video would have been the choice for sure, but I wanted to focus on the process more than the actual coding of a project. I prefer to listen to these kind of things rather an watch.
On a personal level with my work PodHunt (https://www.indiehackers.com/product/pod-hunt), a podcast made more sense for the network affect :)
Working on moving my Database and Web servers off of the computer that my family shares into a small Linux-based think center
Having some issues writing the script to make sure that I have back ups for my data bases
Going to use rsync to a drive off my router to put the files.
After that Iโm going to resume working on my business and trying to get push notifications going in my iOS and android apps
Also setting up my yard for Halloween
For backups on my linux server I use google drive as the backup provider. They have a handy command line tool that lets you sync a folder with your cloud storage. Just something to consider - good luck.
https://linuxnewbieguide.org/using-google-drive-from-the-linux-command-line/
Didn't even think of this...classic forest through the trees....
I'll probably still backup local then rsync it up to GDrive
What are you planning to use for push notifications? I recently set up Firebase Messaging for my app and I'd recommend at least checking it out
I signed up for a GCP account and fire base since that push messaging is universal both on iOS and android
Well Iโm going to do with it is a morning push kind of like CNN does at 8 AM every morning just to say hey hereโs whatโs going on here some of the interesting things
Not sure if it would fit your product or not, but NGS from Synadia is quite nice:
https://synadia.com/ngs/
It is based off of NATS (https://nats.io) which is a Cloud Native Computing Foundation project. I actually use NATS with some of my internally facing projects and love it.
Just thought I'd pass it along in case it is something of interest.
Used OneSignal for another one of our apps not BankPayments.net and it works great. Its free as well.
Working on my iOS skills
Same here!
What are you using iOS for?
Iโm writing an Indie Hackers mobile app!
Are you having to work with CsAllen for that?
Not really, but he did kindly point me in the right direction in terms of where to pull the data from.
Swift? I'm interested in learning that myself :)
Yep! Its for my new day job that I start Monday. I have done iOS before but I'm a little rusty. So I was just reteaching myself.
I'm building a tool to deliver better Slack notifications for Stripe events! If you use Slack's Stripe integration, please let me know; I'd love to hear how you use it!
Just relaxing (:
I am trying to use Tensorflow.js to fly a drone, itโs one of the demos I am doing for my talk for GDG DevFest in Melbourne ๐
That sounds cool, are you documenting the process anywhere? I did my MSc. in control systems but never used it, and was thinking quadcopter control would be a good way to refresh thst knowledge while learning about ML.
In any event, good luck!
I am, and it sure will be blog once finished
Working on my side project MondayMetrics
Got 10+ beta users and now working on Email Automation part.
Recommend putting your landing page and actual app on different domains :)
Makes life a lot easier if you want to change either one. You can host your landing page on Netlify for free and use https://cruip.com/ for free templates.
Any tip on getting beta users :)
Backlink building!
How is it going? I plan on doing the same :)
Not great at the start, but its a long process
Iโm working on pushing out a new level for the logo game and working on gathering feedback for a new app I just launched: tech tech events
Marathon training and figuring out some email stuff for my daily design challenge project. Setting up welcome email and building a few templates.
Figured out my SEO sucks pretty good. So diving into some reading and research on how to get ranked. @csallen aren't you on vaca?
We've got some secret techniques for making my regular posts when I'm away ;-)
Sneaker coder you :)
I actually finished my product over the weekend - pesatime (www.pesatime.com) which is a super simple online Accounting Software for small businesses.
Working on fixing some parts of our web performance optimization Saas Product tezify.com/lighthouse
Spending the weekend writing content for both my personal blog and my project โ๏ธ
I am improving my React and NodeJS skills by working on https://abrocket.io - an AB Testing Software.
Still a long way to go. Launch of closed beta was planned for the end of the year. But itโs getting harder to finish the small things. As the software is growing, bugs and issues are slowing me down :/
Stuck seeing patients all weekend instead of working on GrepMed.com :(
Working on Coding out my new layout, from design to WordPress.
https://iigot.com/
Just relaunched Tradeplan.co, working on getting the initial visitors to sign up before the launch.
Adding simple spam filtering to https://staticforms.co
As usual, working on the growth of https://www.frenl.com/indie-hackers
Zero effort networking. Best way to connect with other Indie Hackers :)
Publishing the next issue of CoFounder Weekly, cofounderweekly.com.
This weekend I am just reading some blog/articles that can help me make plankarma.com Here are some of them:
How to Acquire Initial Clients for your B2B Startup (https://medium.com/santora-nakama/how-to-acquire-initial-clients-for-your-b2b-startup-122df6976dfa)
Stop Running in Circles and Ship Work that Matters (https://basecamp.com/shapeup)
Found a bunch of SEO problems with www.siteguru.com so working through them as well now.
Pushed new updates to betadare.com . Currently focused on making user journey much simpler. Feedback super welcome โบ
I'm continuing to work on my October goal for SocialTracker, which is making the project profitable.
Currently working on the extra features which will be unlockable by purchasing the full report for an Influencer or Brand.
Working on side-project. Basic idea is to have a job platform with an automated recruitment service.
Working on fintest.co I'm learning react to develop this project.
Implementing a backend project with ApolloServer (GraphQL) using Typescript.
launched for the 2nd time http://hyperlyst.com
also shipped my first free course https://courses.hyperlyst.com/
The idea is to build udemy for makers
Taking on a side project. A unique url shortner for vanity links.
Working on improving user on-boarding. Anyone recommend any step-by-step walk through frameworks/services?
Working on a email CTAs
Making study notes for Bootstrap, tying to read a few pages of "Hooked" and "Built to Sell" on Kindle, and thinking about how to apply what I learned to my already profit-making little project originally built on WordPress.
Sunday.. And I really want to achieve 2 things:
Let's DOOO IT!
Working on a Tracking app. Building my flutter skills using the project. Started off with tracking weights. Once done, I'll generalise it to track most units.
How is flutter? If you have used react-native how do they compare :)
Well I haven't used react-native before. However, dart is a fun :)
Getting a few gatsby pages onto dokku hosted at AWS in China. The heroku buildpacks are being blocked by the great firewall so I have to set up a repo locally or come up with a dockerfile as substitute. Oh the horror.
Coding mobile app to allow embedded podcasts and newsletters in the conversation view. Setting goal to have value prop defined for meetup group facilitators and podcasters by the end of the week.
Pen and paper designs for an experimental, pseudo-social feature in Happyfeed - trying to find a way to really stand out in the journaling space and make the app stickier...
Working on integrating Google Tag Management & Google Analytics.
Also working on a landing page for my app.
I made the first landing page for a project that I've been hacking up in my free time! https://www.artbuffer.com
I've been on staycation all week! Still finding some hours to work on my web app's interface and features.
Trying to find a UI design to improve current one that isn't very user friendly - it's tough to find a style I like but I am no designer so that's probably why !
Launching a light hearted idea on Product Hunt on Tuesday. Side project marketing for Marketing Examples. So just gotta finish the coding up on that!
I'm always free to check it before you launch :)
Cheerrs man - Will Telegram you :)
Integrating Stripe into my product and maybe make some deployment tomorrow. But not sure about deployment. Stripe is hard to integrate with SCA :(
Although BankPayments.net automates SCA we aren't available in Germany yet. I'd recommend using Stripe Checkout for SCA if you need are indeed using Stripe.
I'm trying to validate a potential side project.
Care to spare some time filling in a survey: https://docs.google.com/forms/d/e/1FAIpQLSeTwvKLG9Py0_6oWzPZmPlWtAOYXeH7ctH8veZAgUjAJyoXvA/viewform

Need to do the same, my site hasn't been updated for years.
Do you plan on using a template or creating it yourself?
