Hey IH 👋
I'm Jordan. I run Closet Tools.
Closet Tools started in Feb. 2018, and has slowly and consistently grown from there. In 2018, it posted $16k in revenue. In 2019, $118k in revenue. It currently sits at ~16k MRR.
I don't claim to know all of the answers to SaaS and success in software, but there are a few things I know.
I want to know from you (comment below 👇), what is some of the questions you have that will help you get to the next level in your Indiehacker journey?
A goal I have in 2020 is to publish long-form content natively on IH to help out the community. Your questions will help guide where my writing goes.
I am a developer, what I would like to learn more about is marketing a B2B product, how would you go about finding clients? would you simple send an email? or is fb advertising feasible when selling B2B?
Also I checked out Closet Tools, one suggestion I would make is to make it clearer on the landing page what the product does.
I would like to learn about bootstrapping an online presence, all the way to a successful/healthy marketing activity.
I am slowly piecing the parts together, and I would have loved a clear path for a complete beginner to get going and build a solid base on which you can start applying more advanced techniques, the ones that everyone talks about usually that are completely out of reach for a beginner (think A/B testing, dedicated landing pages, etc).
It doesn't matter if this starting path is not the best it could have been.
