https://postmarkapp.com But any transaction email focused service can work well. Try to avoid general email providers becuse their delivery stats usually much worse than the transactional ones.

Dude this platform is awesome. It's just a little expensive for me right now with lowest tier at $60/month.

Thanks! :) we can't offer premium service and keep up the rapid development if we charge low. No VC money in the bank. The reason we built Sidemail was that transactional emails were so much pain when working on our previous projects actually (I wrote about it on IH before). There's plenty of other really cheap (or even free) email services out there, compete with those based on pricing makes little to no sense to me.
AWS SES you won’t find anything cheaper....

Mailgun has been my go to for these kinds of transactional emails. Paired with Django-Anymail (Python/Django stack) it's solved this problem for me and I've yet to break their paid requirement on a project.
Mailgun and AWS SES are the best two for transactional emails of this nature.
Appliku switched to SES couple months ago, not having any problem at all since then.

I love the fact that their bounce/complaint/delivery reporting is super easy to setup.
I've always found https://www.mailgun.com to be excellent.

AWS SES. You have to take a bit more control than normal, but the template langauge is OK.
umm not sure if I'm answering the question, are you talking about activation and reset password stuff? I'm using AWS Cognito. It handles them.
AWS SES. It's very cheap and I haven't had any delivery problems.

Mailgun would be my go-to option. They have a powerful templates which can be customized quickly and great API docs. Their free tier is pretty generous too for most use-cases.
I'm using Postmark and Sendgrid on different projects. No complaints with either of those.
Thoughts on using Namecheap's emails?
