What if countdowns weren’t circles?

I was chatting with a friend today and threw out a random idea:

“What if a countdown looked like a triangle?”

He replied:

“Actually… shapes are way easier to tell where you are in time than circles.”

That was enough to spark a quick prototype. I added it to my timer app Timix:

• Each side of a polygon = a timer

• Triangle, square, hexagon… the countdown “travels” along the shape

It’s weirdly intuitive. And fun to look at.
