This update introduces PolyTimers — a fresh, visual way to experience time — alongside a new Shortcut and more.
With PolyTimers, each countdown has its own shape. Whether you’re timing one task or a whole sequence, you now have a fun, intuitive way to see your flow across iPhone, iPad, Mac, Watch, and Widgets.

Just pushed a new beta feature for Timix:
Polygon-based countdowns 🟦
The countdown shape now adapts to the number of timers — triangle, square, pentagon, hexagon… it’s a fresh visual way to track progress.

I was chatting with a friend today and threw out a random idea:
“What if a countdown looked like a triangle?”
He replied:
“Actually… shapes are way easier to tell where you are in time than circles.”
That was enough to spark a quick prototype. I added it to my timer app Timix:
Each side of a polygon = a timer
Triangle, square, hexagon… the countdown “travels” along the shape
It’s weirdly intuitive. And fun to look at.
Still early, but if you’re curious:

Just shipped a fresh update to Timix, my side project timer app built with SwiftUI.
This version adds some powerful new automation features — especially for folks deep into Apple’s ecosystem.
What’s New in v1.9.91
🏠 HomeKit support: turn accessories on or off when a timer starts or ends (lights, fans, scenes, etc.)
🎯 Auto-chain timers: start one when another begins or finishes
🧩 New “Selected Template” widget: pin a specific routine
🗣️ Siri voice commands: start, pause, resume, scan a timer
🕰️ Apple Watch voice control improvements
💥 12 customizable trigger types: flash, sound, speech, vibration, HomeKit & more
🧼 Small fixes: crash on zero-duration timers, better layout for Zoomed Display
Timix is free, works across iPhone, iPad, Mac (Catalyst), and Apple Watch — and is built to make countdowns smarter and more flexible.

P.S. If you have a HomeKit garage door, could you try it out? I don’t have one to test and would love to confirm it works properly in real conditions. 🙏
Happy to hear any feedback or ideas you’ve got!
