What landing page instant chat software are people using?

It’s been 6 years since I first replied to this, but I thought I’d post an update in case someone comes across it: I’ve just launched Knok, which is a simple website live chat.

Tawk.to for all of our projects! Been using them for a few years for Draftss.com and have added it for Prospectss.com & Artworkss.com recently. The best part is all of the major features are available in the free plan without any usage limits.

Shout out to a fellow Indie Hacker @richardchu I’m using Letterbase for this on my landing page.

We are considering using the Zammad (https://zammad.org) ticketing system which has built-in chat. The main attraction for us is that Zammad is open-source.

I use crisp.chat for estipad.com and have been very happy. It’s not cheap but they do have a free plan as well as a big discount for start-ups (just chat to them).

I use Crisp, but far the most feature complete tool we've seen.

Helpscout, good to have FAQ integrated

I used Chaport. It’s simple, looks good and has a free tier for a single operator.
