What makes a good marketing stack?

Awesome content? Tools? Analytics? AI? SERPs?

Yes and no!

I have always wondered about this question and have discussed this in more detail in the latest edition of my newsletter. In it, I also talk about why you might be indifferent to one of the most crucial and easily ignored ingredients of a good marketing strategy.

I thought I'd mention a couple of slightly less well known tools or services that are helpful for marketing and sales:

    • Swapstack for finding newsletter to advertise in.
    • Warmup Inbox (it's like Lemlist and others) for making sure your email doesn't end up in spam.
    • Recruitin for searching different platforms for leads or competitor info

Also if you want a cool web analytics tool my company Squeaky is used by marketing teams too 😊

Stack I had the pleasure of building against a large scale react consumer app

    • Segment CDP
    • Mixpanel
    • Braze
    • Split.io (AB testing)

Segment is a great app to have at the center. Thanks for sharing @Alimcodes

Tools are never the answer, more that you have a process that tracks results and is repeatable. Try to answer these questions:

    What do we care about?

    • Time to results

    • Cost to acquire

    • Scalability

In terms of my martech stack:

    • Hubspot - CRM
    • Integromat - automation
    • Amplitude / Google Analytics - analytics, user behavior
    • Google Sheets - everything else!

@mzothner What you have noted is the exact thing I realized and then wrote in this edition of my newsletter, Market-edit.
