I've been thinking about starting businesses in very competitive spaces. The advice I've read most often is that the presence of competition is a good thing -- it means there's a good market! The key is to differentiate your product sufficiently so that you are the ideal solution for a subset of that vast market.
Who out there has done this?

Thanks in advance!
I like the idea behind Dupple a lot. Are there any incentives in place for the users to reward them for their part in co-construction?
Not yet, but depending on the feedbacks we receive we think we could add a ranking system that you would link to perks. For instance, the more you participate, the less you would pay each month (you'd receive a coupon each time you reach a certain threshold of participation). It could be a great way to offshore your customer support to your own users :)
Is this some kind of landing page generator or a card generator? I couldn't really make out what it was supposed to do from the samples 😅
Its a full website/webapp generator. You can create static, dynamic pages (thousands of pages can be created from data sources like Google Sheets, Airtable, Supabase etc). You can also attach login/logout functionality with filters, search for the data and also can display data in form of beautiful cards.
This sounds interesting, but I'm having a hard time understanding exactly the transformation that the data undergoes. Have you considered maybe including a short video showing the data stream and how it gets mocked up as a card?
Damn looks cool!
May I ask how many clients are paying for Flezr?
And how long have you worked on building the tool?
Is $299 for a job posting cheap compared to other job boards? You don't have to have that many listings at that price before you're making a lot of money!
Good question, I would say $299 is pretty average. My research showed that remoteok.com is charging $900, weworkremotely.com $299, pompcryptojobs.com $299, web3.career $650, etc. Obviously it all depends on the number of visitors your job board gets, and how many qualified leads the company gets in return. Will definitely experiment with pricing.

I like this idea! How did you decide to focus on check lists?
Thanks Brandon! Thats a great question.
The prototype of interactlist.com was built for Rob Hope He was writing his ebook titled Landing Page Hot Tips and wanted interactive checklists (vs a static PDF) to strengthen the core product. This created a better first impression while giving the customer a more immersive learning experience (supports markdown, reference links etc).
I wrote a brief post about this Greenlighting a checklist webapp side-project
Very cool! What's your plan to find users?
Great question again :)
I enjoyed your content! This was a good read: post
You make a great point about giving advice:
Did you work in website analytics prior to building dtekt? How did decide on your features?
At one of my previous employers, I've been building an in-house solution that allowed website performance monitoring. I decided it would be worth turning that knowledge into a product.
As this is a very feature-oriented niche we initially wanted to provide enough features for people using e.g. Pingdom to get them interested in our product and consider a migration. We did successfully onboarded one company that switched Pingdom with our Tool. So we had to implement not only performance monitoring but also, for example, Uptime. However, now we will probably focus on performance monitoring features a bit more because it is difficult to get correct and we think we can have a competitive advantage in some of the aspects there.
BTW. We are also two technical people and we are looking for a co-founder who could run the sales/marketing side of the project because we are definitely lacking here.
If you'd have any suggestions for us... Shoot it! [email protected]
Wow, looks really cool. How have you been finding users?
Frankly I haven't landed yet haha. Been making the rounds on IH, Reddit and Twitter but only saw a spike in traffic. But no sign ups. Planning to tweak the copy a bit and also start content marketing efforts.

Wow, this is amazing! Talk about having people with street cred for your social proof. 💪🏻
Did you have previous experience in the music industry? How did you know that a product like this was needed?

Very cool. Seems like a radical improvement on the stacks of CDs that were habitually thrown away! 😂
This is good stuff! I love the idea
