We're launching our product this week (Block Lab) and I've got a number of things underway to help kick things off.
I love hearing, and being inspired, about the creative and often simple tactics people take in marketing. In your experience, what's your #1 (or more if you can't narrow it down)?
A friend of mine sent me a link to an old Tim Ferriss blog post today. Might be too late for you to implement this, but it was a good read:
https://tim.blog/2014/07/21/harrys-prelaunchr-email/
It describes a method of getting newsletter signups with a pre-release referral program where users get free stuff based on how many people they refer. It was for a physical product, but seemed like it could apply to a saas as well.
Good luck with the launch!
That's a very interesting article! Do you know of any services out there that do that same idea? I see Harry's open sourced their code, but am curious if there are any alternatives.
Answering my own question - this was just posted today and has a couple resources: https://www.indiehackers.com/forum/which-waiting-list-tools-are-you-using-6dd1103f7a
Nice job answering the question - I didn't have any answer :)
Thanks for sharing. I'll check it out.
I wonder if the same strategy can apply ongoing as well.
