Who is indie hacking for indie hackers?
by
Rosie Sherry
How meta!
Is your project focused on supporting indie hackers? If so, tell us about it!
#ask-ih
I will add in (and will come back to update this comment as I remember things):
Thanks so much for the mention! 🙏
Thank you for the mention @rosiesherry really appreciate it!
Thanks for the shout! Our main site is also stackingthebricks.com for tons of free articles and stuff.
I've also recently launched a community focussed on makers called founderhood!
Currently limiting it to 100 people for the first cohort so we can figure out our first steps as a community. My other community I've built to over 18k so looking to take this more slowly and purposeful! sign up here : https://bit.ly/2O1gPgd
I'm working on Caravel Studio, www.caravelstudio.io
It will allow indie hackers to create their own apps without coding (or with small amount of it).
The goal is to create a tool that will replace a tech co-founder :)
Currently, you can create a simple web app (with frontend and backend parts), deploy it and download to your computer - all visually (you can create as many pages as you want, design them and add a form and design a workflow to send information to any email). See tutorial here https://www.caravelstudio.io/tutorials/how-to-create-a-landing-page-with-email-form
The next step is to provide a codebase for simple SaaS projects.
The next next step is to provide visual editing features for any feature of your SaaS projects :)
Yeah, a big hairy audacious goal :)
A simple friendly, creative, slack group (in my profile if you want to join), Dedicated to diving deeper into Maker Marketing and Developing Ideas or just getting unstuck and wanting to talk to peeps.

🎉 Arrows (https://www.Arrows.to) helps indie entrepreneurs and creators send their outreach and sales emails to lists of contacts, with a daily cadence and followup reminders. Built it for myself as an indie hacker based on what I needed for all my own projects and client outreach.
Hi Rosie! I’ve been working on freshlysqueezed.online - which is absolutely aimed at Indie Hackers. We write blogs for startups (who are scaling) to attract and convert customers. We offer a free article with no obligations, as an opportunity for startups to gain confidence in our team.
🙌 Yes!
I'm working on fundamaker.com which is focussed on supporting indie makers and their awesome products by encouraging people to buy them!
Let's support the community by paying for awesome products and moving away from a mindset that everything should be free! 🤑
That's a great idea and I agree with you that people's mindset that everything should be free is negative and should be changed.
Ps. How do you define a maker?
In this context a Maker is an overarching term for solo founders, bootstrappers, no coders, side project creators, indie hackers, and anyone else building projects for others without a big budget. That includes folks charging for their work and open source / free projects.
📢 My project:
The Sales for Founders course.
✅ How it supports indie hackers:
The biggest challenges indie hackers face are...
You might not realise it, but these are all sales problems!
In the S4F course, I teach founders like you just enough sales, so you get to paying customers and profitability quickly (instead of wasting hours building something nobody wants to buy).
The course is affordable, life-changing, and enrollment opens again in a few weeks!
I can vouch for Louis, tons of insightful info on sales :)
Yup. For the next step of my journey of running ManyPixels (now close to $60k/month in revenue) I am open-sourcing all my learnings of running a productized service / tech-enabled agency on my Facebook group: https://www.facebook.com/groups/192719694795609/requests/
Planning to launch a website / full community later on :)
Open sourcing? It's a closed group…
Feel free to join it. Anyone can be in :)
It requires an account to view and it's blocked in some places... not sure if FB is really conducive to open sourcing things. Have you considered Github or Gitlab?
I have been studying you guys from the outside the last few weeks, so I am waiting for this.
If you don't mind answering, how hard is it to incorporate a company in Singapore? I am looking for a more tax friendly location for my companies and the only info I found where from people that sell incorporation services.
Was pretty easy for us! We used Sleek and they also got us an appointment with the bankers there :)
thank you very much! I never heard of them and seems a good solution :D
