I have no idea what is my ideal customer profile.
I really want to know what are the best ways to discover my ideal customer, and what ways you have done this personally?
API2Cart is designed for eCommerce software vendors like order management systems, shipping software, multi-channel software, PIM, etc, that help online store owners manage their operations. Our product is useful for SaaS businesses that need to integrate with multiple eCommerce platforms and marketplaces, including Shopify, WooCommerce, Magento, BigCommerce, Etsy, Wix, Shopee, OpenCart, Flipkart, Temu, TikTok Shop, and others.
We discovered our ideal customer profile by closely analyzing the needs of SaaS businesses that provide software solutions for their customers, i.e. store owners. By studying the challenges eCommerce software developers and providers face in integrating various eCommerce platforms, we identified that offering a unified API would streamline their workflow and save significant development time. We also gathered feedback from customers and partners who were facing integration complexities across different platforms.

⛳️ 1 Owwly helps side projects / startups to promote their products and find new users
😩 2 A lot of products struggle to find first 10,100,1000 users. We would like to help them.
🦉 3 https://owwly.com
This is interesting.
I love the mission. Also, I have a one question:
What do you do specifically to accomplish your mission?
To me, it looks like everybody can sign up and create a post for their startup? That's cool, as long as the number of submissions is relatively low and the quality of the posts/products relatively high.
However, that's also a sign of few visitors on Owwly, and therefore not many people will discover your product if you submit it.
On the other hand, if Owwly reaches a critical mass and will have really a lot of daily users, product creators will simply spam it with their products no matter the quality. This will again lead to most projects going under in the mass and not receive a lot of attention.
How do you want to balance this, without becoming a second Product Hunt or Betalist? Do you want to live in their shadows, or do you want to take a different approach? What do you do to get my product in front of a large audience, and even better, in front of the right audience, specifically?
I would say Maxim that the best-case scenario is to have a high number of submissions and posts' quality :D I like the way how dev.to or IH doing it. Adding social layer (likes and comments) is important to engage the community and show interesting content on the top.
lovely design!

Cool! Encourage you to post from time to time about your product's progress ;)
As I said I have no idea who my customer is for.
I have a content repurposing web application that's about to go into BETA (currently free, for life)
It turns Youtube videos into podcasts, podcasts into blogs, and blogs into social media posts.
Check it out here: https://www.spreadtech.online/
Who would be an ideal customer for my web app?
You could try to get in touch with some content creators you find interesting? As you said all those things, then Youtubers, Podcasters, Bloggers.
I'm working on some cold emails to a group of Youtubers right now! Hopefully, that will go down a treat!
Thank you :)
Just pick all of the quality ones you can find and write personal emails for all of them. The worst they can do is not reading it. Which isn't bad.
Thank you so much, much appreciated! :)
Thank you for this great post! Could companies like Hootsuite and Hubspot be potential customers in the sense that they might acquire you? Hootsuite could really use an app like yours as the premise of Hootsuite is to manage all your social media feeds from one console. Hootsuite might want to offer your app to its customers to make producing content for multiple social feeds easier by scaling content with your app?
Hubspot for example offered a tool to make free infographics to its customers.
Or can your app be turned into an adtech tool? When I advertise on Facebook they try and help me convert my ad content into multiple formats (IG, Carousel, FB, etc.)... Inbound marketing is advertising?
So maybe your ideal customer / "aquihirer" is some kind of Hubspot/Hootsuite type enterprise?
Your app looks very cool!

newclick.io is for e-commerce merchants that run multiple promotions per month. Usually, a director of e-commerce or director of marketing fits the ICP.
I discovered this by working with a handful of venture-backed e-commerce stores. They all run lots of promotions, sometimes 2 per month. They often times need to design and schedule website banners for these promotions...
That's where we come in. With newclick.io you can design, schedule, and manage promotional announcement banners. We integrate with Shopify and offer an app through their app store, but can be added to any website by adding the JavaScript code snippet to the
headtag.Web Developers & Digital designers
Its linked everywhere, from reddit, muz.li many times, dribbble , insta, pinterest,Twitter TLDR newsletter,( today sidebar.io )PH, .google...and many more.

We're building Circles, a modern Zoom client that gets out of your way and gives you your desktop back. Our customers are sales professionals and remote teams that use video conferencing to collaborate.
The current interface for most video conferencing takes up the majority of your screen, making it difficult for sellers to take notes while on calls and teams to look at roadmaps and relevant documents, all while trying to gauge reactions from the meeting attendees.

Hi @LouTromans,
Rivers is a Remote Social Collaboration Platform for your teams at the office, schools, clinics, agencies, and anywhere else that you need to create your own community.
Businesses and teams particularly small business teams continue to use popular consumer messenger services like Whatsapp and Telegram for their team collaboration also.
Rivers is trying to help drive effective communication by retaining the speed and simplicity of their normal messenger apps and not sacrificing for slower performance and confusing UX of some of the email-based team collaboration platforms.
You can know more and try it from here https://go.rivers.im/ih
Great post 😁
Sigmetic is a toolkit for the data-driven software team.
It is especially useful for engineering leads and managers for whom it is important to have a full picture of the software development processes on the team.
I started building Sigmetic based on years of frustration as a consequence of lacking insight into the team processes.
I wrote a little blog about that here 😉
Hey Simon, I got interested in this also as a team lead/manager (roles I have played prior). Are you aiming more at team's software development culture or more like a tool that helps in the coding or reviewing process?
Nice! 😁 I'm very happy about the interest!
It's definitely aiming more at team's software development culture, processes and habits.
It's an analytics tool, so it doesn't take any active role in the processes of either review or coding, but instead provides you with insights and details about the team's performance, that may otherwise be missed.
Nice! I’m an engineering manager in my non-indie hacker role. Gonna check it out :)
Great! If you get to check it out and have any questions or feedback, you are very welcome to hit me up 🙏
I've gotten feedback from a lot of developers, but I'm especially interested in hearing from people in the engineering manager role 😊
Sweet! Will do.
First small bit of feedback—you should be able to signup with GitHub... not just google and username/pw. Seems strange to me it’s not there.
Thanks! You are not the first one to point that out.
When you log in, you will be able to link with your GitHub account to fetch data.
But your point is valid, it would be very nice to simply log in with GitHub, and then everything would be lined up.
There are some technicalities in the way, that I won't bore you with here 😉
But you are right! And it's something that we'll provide at a later point, for sure 😊
I like it. Copywriting/persuasion knowledge and best practices distilled into a practical app. 👌
Thanks ^^ Let me know what you think if you signed up🤘🏼
Great stuff!
How did you go around IH and Twitter to find your customers? - Was it from creating content?
I did not find customers on those platforms directly. I discovered who my niche was with those products through interaction. However, customers are brought in from content. The Insights section of my site has content that progresses to a more specific audience.
Have you ever considered doing video/podcasting as a form of content marketing too?
I have considered it but I really dislike video. My preferred medium is the written word. My business coach did suggest I become a guest on some podcasts but I have not done it yet.
Hmm, in that case you can try out guest post on blogs? Or written interview.
Decision Donkey helps teams and individuals make better decisions using a collaborative and interactive Pro/Con list + helps them review and measure past decisions.
During a business class, our group was asked to layout the Pros/Cons of a certain subject. We did this on an excel sheet. Some groups did it with pen and paper. We needed a way for everyone to have access and vote on ideas to weight them for most important. Also, we needed a catalog of past decisions so we could measure them.

Good question; we started really wide because so many different people use screenshot and annotation tools (content marketers, customer support reps, product managers, designers, etc.). But we stumbled on an interesting customer that is growing nicely, which is Teachers; although I haven't cracked the best way to reach/engage them. Teachers use the product to do a range of things, but the most interesting behavior we've seen is grading homework/giving feedback to students.
I think what I've learned over the years is that sometimes the ideal customer bubbles up, I just need to be listening close enough to notice it. As an actionable suggestion, I've found starting free and having some real-time customer support (Intercom, whatever) will help me identity different users and use cases.

👌 Landifed helps entrepreneurs to validate ideas before building them
👀 On each one successful product on product hunt, there are 100 that failed.
Landified help entrepreneurs to check if someone is interested in their product by automatically generate for them a "Fake-Door" landing page which they can promote to their potential clients and check the conversion rates.
In addition, Landified is a community of entrepreneurs who give feedback to each other ideas. (Similar to indiehacker. However, on Landified you must follow a format.)

Our app is for React developers. Our app is a Figma-like design app which allows users to design their React UI with a drag and drop design tool but the magic of Cruu is once you are done designing you can press one button and that design is automatically reflected in your React project library. Never hand-code CSS and HTML again!
But...
We thought individual React developers would like it. But so far no nibbles.
We thought enterprise React developers would like it. But we are not far enough along on our feature set yet.
So we are struggling.
We discovered this by using Indie Hackers and our connections to get as many people as possible to try Cruu and doing our best to ask the right questions and listen.

Reflect lets anyone create automated end-to-end tests for their website. We built it for software teams that want E2E test coverage without the massive time-sink of code-based solutions, and for testers who want to automate the regression tests that they're currently doing manually.
We are two developers frustrated with the current state of end-to-end testing. We've built the tool we wished existed!
