We used to think creators said no because of money. Too low an offer, not enough for their time, that kind of thing.
But when we actually asked, the reason was almost never the price. It was fit. They didn't feel like the product matched their audience, or they didn't trust the brand enough to put their name on it.
That changed how we think about matching on Aproov. Instead of just connecting founders with whoever's available, we started paying more attention to whether the creator's audience actually overlaps with what the founder is building. Turns out that matters a lot more than the offer itself.
Has this happened to you, a good offer that still got turned down, and only later did you find out why?
This really resonates. I’ve found that “no” often doesn’t mean the offer is bad — it can mean there’s still uncertainty around whether it’s actually right for them.
That’s something I’ve been thinking about a lot while building my own SaaS. Sometimes the most useful signal isn’t the conversion itself, but understanding why someone hesitated in the first place.
Curious — how do you currently measure whether there’s a strong audience/product fit before making the match?
as soon as the company is in, based on their field, we compare it with our creators to see if there is fit product-creator's audience. with that, we match them, ensuring fit for the deal
Agree with this
;)
Good insight!
thanks!!
here to answer anything
fit is everything. not for the creator, but for his audience
nailed it saopaolo!
pricing, but thats when, if, there is no fit or small
Gonna try it!
let us know what you think
I can recall this. I tried 3 creators with reach, that’s all I cared, and, even I had budget, they reject me. I was like…. Wtf?
those creators, then, are worth working them. keep them for the future, because they care
Yeah your right and most cases it just the pay is too low
also. a combination of both. although I think fit is more important because of the audience of the creator and the "willingness" to buy that product. at least what we found
There are a few in price too. Fit I would say is for true, real, value creators. Agree on that
exactly
