Lumorae, an AI-powered journaling app focused on mental wellness and daily affirmations. After launching the app on the App Store earlier this year, I’ve been reflecting on how to take the next big step: sustainable growth.
At its core, Lumorae helps users:
Write daily journals with AI-assisted reflections
Generate affirmations in multiple languages
Listen to calming AI voices via ElevenLabs integration
Stay grounded and mentally supported, even when life gets overwhelming
It’s simple, focused, and available in English, Japanese, Korean, and Chinese.

Growth has been slow and organic so far:
No ads yet (testing waters)
Just kicked off content on X, Facebook, Red Notes and building a presence on Instagram
Got listed on Indie Hackers recently
Set up Linktree, and Facebook Page
But I’ve hit the stage where I need more users, more feedback, and more data to iterate on.
Sharpen product positioning: Focus on Lumorae as an “AI journaling app with mental support”, not just affirmations.
Improve onboarding & retention
Introduce voice journaling for easy access and simpler user experience
Raise pre-seed investment if possible to expand dev & marketing
Run small, focused ad campaigns (Meta, X)
If you’ve grown a subscription app or launched in the wellness space:
What worked for you to hit your first 1,000 users?
Is there a channel that surprised you?
