Would you use surveys that ask follow-up questions?

Hey! I want to try and mesh the scale and convenience of surveys with the insights of user interviews.

I'm hoping this can make surveys more insightful than a list of answer boxes and pre-set questions--you know, more like actually talking to users, but still easy, fast, and scalable.

  1. List the main questions you want answered
  2. Share the survey with users
  3. The AI interviews the user like an actual conversation over text, asking follow-ups, whys, hows, and digging into interesting insights (based on the guidelines you gave it). [example image above with a fake survey to show what I'm talking about]
  4. You can look over the results

I have a landing page here: Survues (https://survues.netlify.app/)

Would you pay for this? Why or why not?

To be honest. I do not understand it 😊
What's the problem you are trying to solve? When would I use it? How would I use it? What's the advantage over a traditional survey or a traditional interview?
At least I am curious - good sign ;)

Thanks for the reply! I'll try to clarify:

Problem: open-ended survey questions are pretty superficial because you can't dig deep into what someone said, ask follow-ups, etc.. Actual conversations are better for understanding users because of this, but they cost lots of time and money compared to surveys.

When: if you want to do customer/product discovery as a PM, founder, etc., or get open-ended insights from people in general

How: you create a survey with the tool and share the link or embed it wherever you would distribute a survey

Advantages: faster, cheaper, and more quantity/scale than a traditional interview. Deeper insights than a fixed set of text boxes in a traditional survey.

Do you have any thoughts on that?

Ok, I think I can see your point. Basically, it's about intelligent, automated, dynamic follow-ups for survey and open-ended questions? That's big, considering how difficult & important it is to ask good questions in any situation 😳
Do you plan to do that technically?

Yes, that's correct! I'm not sure what you mean by "Do you plan to do that technically?" (sorry), but I do have a working MVP if that's what you mean.

Totally agree with this comment, Seems like an interesting idea. Who is the target audience? Whats the idea solving ? Value prop and the benefits of your product?
