XOXO's 30 Day Challenge - zero to $ - Group 3 Starts Aug 15th! ๐Ÿšฒ =>๐Ÿ›ต => ๐ŸŽ => ๐Ÿš€

The past few weeks since I posted on IH I've been running a little challenge.

We get in groups of 10
We help each other build, launch and grow over 30 days.
We (try) to do weekly AMAs with people a little ahead of us on our journey.

Each week we do a video call to get to know each other, and each day we do a stand up and a stand down.

It's been awesome.

I've been experimenting with pricing but for this group, it's free.

If you'd like to join, would you mind filling out the Airtable form?

P.S. If you're a woman, or know other Indie Women, please please please consider joining, we need more women in these groups.

Hope to see you there!

Edit 1: 25 Have joined, we've only got 5 more spots left!

Edit 2: We're full for the Aug 15th group. Throw your email down for Sept 1st! (Might be paid though, something like $30)

This definitely looks like a great way to collaborate and push each other! I'm working on https://www.topmarq.com for virtual car shows and can definitely use some accountability.

This group has been awesome for me. Working solo can be really hard and over time it's tough to keep yourself accountable for making progress - especially when you have a main job and this is just a side project for now.

Over the last two weeks since we've kicked off it's been awesome seeing what other people have been working on and getting to more personally know indie hackers all over the world.

For my own project, I've been able to share with the group what I've done so far and get really quick feedback on my landing pages, product, etc. This week I was going to put my landing page, homestow.com, out there more and feedback from the group really helped refine my overall strategy, market approach, and landing page copy. Feedback from the group actually made me shift my strategy quite a bit so I'm trying out a slightly new direction right now to build some audience for my product before launching the actual product itself.

Happy to answer questions about the experience if you're interested but I highly recommend it.

And shameless plug, if you're a homeowner that wants a better way to make sure you're taking care of your home properly, I'd love to chat!

      Thanks @adamg ๐Ÿ™Œ

I am part of #2. Xoxo is really a very low maintenance kind of way to remain accountable and we have some really deep insightful discussions about our topics. I love the fact that i actually dont have "to put in effort" its all vert spontaneous and natural since we are a closed small group.

I've been part of group number 2 and so far it has been pretty good! Having daily stand ups and weekly meetings really help you with accountability.

We've had AMA and people are very nice. Can really recommend ๐Ÿ‘๐Ÿผ

This looks valuable, I just started a project so I think I'll join in.

@andrewpierno : This is really a nice intitiative, Thank you so much for putting it together. Love to be particpate in chat with the group. Im based in UK.

Im building https://github.com/xgenecloud/xgenecloud - an open source node.js API generator on top of any SQL database :) There is some similarity with noco.

We support generating REST/GraphQL APIs instantly on databases.

awesome! Looks like you're doing better at it than I did haha.

I am interested in experimenting with this, if there is availability! Have filled out the form.

This is an awesome idea! Really love it!
Unfortunately I'll be on vacation until end of month.
Can't wait to join the next one ;)

    1. 1

Awesome! If you haven't already throw your email in the airtable and select the date so I can reach back out when the time comes

  9. 1

How do you time the weekly meetings? I am from Germany so my timezone is completely different to most of the USA

    1. 3

      I'm in europe as well,
we do them at around 18:30 (CET) on the weekend, that way there's overlap with most relevant time zones

    2. 2

The groups have all been international. When the group is formed (10 people) we vote on the best time for everyone :)

      1. 1

I really like the idea and signed up :)

        1. 1

welcome! I'll send out a slack invite shortly :)

This is really cool. If you ever do one with looser cadence (weekly stand-ups and monthly calls) I'd be interested. With a full-time job and a family (especially during COVID) there are days, even weeks, where I don't have time to work on my project. But I'd still love an accountability/support/mastermind group like this ๐Ÿ‘

    1. 2

To echo what @andrewpierno said, most people in my group (group #2) have a full time job or something else that occupies most of their time. That's one of the things that nice is the group is pretty much what you make of it. It's been about deciding what you want to tackle in one month and then sharing what you're working on each day. Getting feedback from people in the slack channel has been great. But there have been multiple days in a row where I couldn't get anything done and that's okay too. It's about doing what you want to do, alongside a few other people that are doing the same.

Just jump in and do what you can! This isn't the army. Most of us have full time gigs.
