YC Build Sprint: Day #12 Update
Twelfth day of the sprint (check out the previous update here)! Weather cleared up today and left the office a bit early to be with my girlfriend to do some R&R. Feel better than I did the past few days! As for work itself, I decided that the best way to grow at the moment is to focus on onboarding and retention (not outreach as I originally thought). This took a huge load off my shoulders. Anyways, today's update!
Sprint Goal:
Acquire 50 new premium user for Ryeboard
Previous Objectives:
1) Reach out to 10 different people about using Ryeboard!
While a noble goal I don't think we're ready to do something like this just yet. I made a startling discovery about our onboarding and early retention trends and decided this needs to be patched up before we focus on top funnel stuff. Makes even more sense since we have a small, steady stream of visitors and grow mostly through word-of-mouth.
2) Optimize our keywords and SEO!
Looking back this was a poor, unquantifiable goal for myself. I did end up making a couple of changes to the website and even added some privacy features to be more compliant to GDPR and DPR policies.
3) Finish workspace / team plans dev!
Nearly done. Just testing out a few more features and polishing things up. Customers expect more out of team plans and I want to make a great first impression :)
Key Metrics and Analysis :
- WAU: 136
- MAU: 84
- Stickiness: 32.54%
- New registrations: 10
- New premium upgrades: 0
- Total landing page visitors: 41
Similar metrics to yesterday. Nothing too special!
Objectives for Tomorrow:
- Deploy new privacy measure on landing page
- Reach out to three teams to beta test workspaces
- Have email invites and refine workspace activities
That's it for today! I feel I reached the bottom of the sprint and started clawing my way back up today. As always, I'm optimistic about the team and product and can' t way to get back to the office tomorrow!
