My agent kept hitting the same wall. I'd ask it to track what's trending on TikTok and X, or monitor product mentions on Amazon, and it just couldn't get there. The data is all technically public, but agents can't read it natively.
So I built a skill for it. https://monid.ai/
Your agent can then read from X, Reddit, TikTok, LinkedIn, Google Reviews, Facebook, and Amazon. Works well for things like:
Morning briefings that pull what's actually trending
Tracking mentions of a product or topic across platforms
Market research before making a decision
Still early and would love to hear how it fits into people's existing setups and what breaks.

We launched on the App Store two days ago and just hit 300 downloads. A huge thanks to IH community! We've seen some use cases we expected and some we didn’t at all during our launch:
Tracking the latest research papers in very niche domains
Creating 30+ topics, some about industries, others about sports teams, specific types of movies, and more (the number surprised me)
Adult content (please don’t try it, we don’t support that at all right now lol)

This is such a genuine product. You've perfectly captured that travel planning burnout that comes from having too many options. The 'Surprise Me!' feature is especially brilliant—it's like a childhood dream of getting to visit a place you didn't even have to choose. A really awesome idea.
Out of curiosity, what's your biggest challenge right now with keeping all the travel data accurate and up-to-date?

Just downloaded—love it. 🙌 One wishlist: an AI layer that learns my niches and surfaces “jump-in” threads + suggested angles/replies so I can engage deeper on topics I care about.

do you mean how I found people need this? this comes from my own experience and my observation on my coworkers (I worked in payments so people there need to follow industry news quite often)

I really feel the pain point here — I waste so much time jumping between Twitter/X, newsletters, and random blogs, and end up feeling like I didn’t actually learn anything.
Curious how customizable it is right now: can I fine-tune the “agent” to avoid generic news and only pull from specific sources I trust?

hey that's a good question! I think for us, we still need to enhance our basic functions. like enhancing AI accuracy & smooth UI. good quality will drive user back. then we will introduce notifications so that users can be notified when there are news might be important to them.

With their feedback, we improved the in-app reading experience and added more sources to cover different topics. It’s not perfect yet, but we’d love more people to try it and share feedback. We just launched on the App Store, and you can find us there today!

unexpected use cases... actually a lot. I see people using if for local news, sports, or ask how to improve themselves. and some prompt it for porn (although we don't have any content on it). all those were not expected from the very beginning.

right now we provide the links to the original articles. if that article is paywalled and you have the subscription, you can click on the link and read it from there. but currently there's no way to manually provide what subscriptions you have but it's on our roadmap to add this feature!

I would be really nice if as a user I could test it out. That said, I think API and scraper way you're building should work just fine for you. You're gonna need some sales muscle though.
