Where future lives before reality

January 11, 2026 We’re giving strangers public slots to judge startup ideas. No feedback. Just exposure.

We opened a limited number of public idea slots.

No mentors.
No validation frameworks.
No “helpful feedback.”

Just exposure.

Why?
Because markets don’t care about your explanations — only reactions.

Most founders hide their ideas:

  • behind decks

  • behind forms

  • behind “coming soon” pages

We’re doing the opposite.

Ideas go up publicly.
Strangers see them.
Patterns emerge.

Some ideas attract attention without effort.
Most don’t.

That difference matters more than opinions.

If you’re serious about building something real,
put your idea where you can’t control the outcome.

Slots are filling fast.

No launch.

January 11, 2026 We built a terminal-style SaaS UI on purpose. Here’s why.

Avenir doesn’t look like most SaaS.

No landing-page fluff.
No “friendly gradients.”
No fake simplicity.

We chose terminal navigation because it reflects how builders actually think:

  • Direct

  • Intentional

  • No unnecessary layers

Every command exists for a reason.
Every screen forces clarity.

This isn’t nostalgia.
It’s a design filter.

If a product needs excessive explanation, it’s already broken.

Good products:

  • Expose intent immediately

  • Remove decision fatigue

  • Respect the user’s intelligence

That’s the same philosophy we apply to ideas themselves.

If your product vision can’t survive:

  • public exposure

  • minimal explanation

  • real scrutiny

…it probably shouldn’t exist yet.

You can explore the system here:

And ask yourself a harder question:
Does your product deserve attention — or are you designing around avoiding truth?

This design philosophy is a user-centric product mindset, and it's an essential skill that developers must possess.

January 11, 2026 Why Product Hunt rewards noise — and why your SaaS didn’t survive it

Product Hunt is good at one thing:
👉 rewarding temporary attention.

Launch day hype. Upvotes. Comments. Rankings.
Then silence.

Most founders don’t fail because their idea is bad.
They fail because they confuse launch validation with market validation.

If your product didn’t “work” on PH, ask yourself:

  • Did real users actually need it?

  • Or did it just sound impressive for 24 hours?

That gap is where most SaaS dies — quietly.

We’re not launching on Product Hunt.
We’re observing ideas before they become products.

Avenir is an experiment in pre-market reality:

  • No pitches

  • No fake hype

  • No “friends & founders” validation

Just raw ideas, public exposure, and pattern recognition.

If you have an idea you think should’ve worked —
or one you’re afraid to ship because you don’t trust PH-style validation —

Put it here. Publicly. No filters.

Radical transparency approach. Most YC founders would never dare show ideas this early. Market validation > PH validation - this flips the traditional playbook. The public judgment angle is genius for filtering signal from noise. Bold play.

Really resonates — Product Hunt often favors hype over substance, and it can be brutal for early-stage SaaS that are solving real problems but don’t grab immediate attention.

I’ve noticed that having a small, engaged community before launch can make a big difference. Even simple guides or walkthroughs that show actual value tend to outperform flashy launch campaigns.

Curious to hear what strategies others have used to survive the “noise” phase without losing focus on real users.
