Die Senderzahl. Schreiben Sie auf, was im letzten Monat wirklich lief. In den meisten deutschen Haushalten liegt die ehrliche Zahl zwischen acht und fuenfzehn Sendern — bei zwanzigtausend beworbenen.
Diese Zahl ist aufgeblasen: derselbe Sender in mehreren Qualitaeten mehrfach gezaehlt, Regionalvarianten, die ausserhalb eines Bundeslandes keiner oeffnet, und Filmkataloge, die einzeln mitzaehlen. Rechnet man das heraus, bieten zwei Dienste mit achttausend und fuenfundzwanzigtausend Sendern oft genau dieselben brauchbaren Programme.
Erstellen Sie Ihre eigene Liste, bevor Sie sich ein Angebot ansehen: der Sport, den Sie verfolgen, der Nachrichtensender, der nebenher laeuft, die zwei oder drei Unterhaltungssender, die wirklich geoeffnet werden. Meist ein Dutzend Zeilen. Diese Namen pruefen Sie dann einzeln beim Anbieter — nicht die Kategorie, den genauen Sendernamen.
RUCKLER: WOHER SIE WIRKLICH KOMMEN
Fast alle Klagen ueber Ruckler landen bei der Leitung, und ein guter Teil hat mit ihr nichts zu tun.
Video vertraegt schlecht Unregelmaessigkeit, nicht Langsamkeit. Eine Leitung mit bestem Durchschnittswert, die aber jede Minute eine halbe Sekunde einbricht, erzeugt genau die Aussetzer, die man dem Anbieter anlastet.
Die Diagnose in fuenf Minuten: Waehrend der Stream haengt, oeffnen Sie etwas anderes auf einem zweiten Geraet. Laedt das sofort, ist die Leitung in Ordnung.
Die Abhilfen der Reihe nach: ein Kabel legen, wenn der Fernseher nah am Router steht; auf 5 GHz wechseln und das Geraet naeher heranruecken, wenn Kabel nicht geht; den Router neu starten. Letzteres klingt wie ein Scherz und loest tatsaechlich einen Teil der Faelle.

Warum ist ein IPTV-Dienst so viel guenstiger als Sky oder DAZN?
Sie zahlen fuer die Sender, die Sie wirklich schauen, statt fuer ein Paket voller Programme, die Sie nie oeffnen. Der Haken ist die unterste Stufe — ein Stream und ein Server kosten Sie am Ende mehr, sobald Sie ein zweites Abo zum Flicken brauchen.

Keine Aussetzer an den grossen Abenden
Das Kriterium, das am schnellsten aussiebt. Guenstige Angebote laufen dienstagnachmittags einwandfrei und kollabieren, sobald ein Champions-League-Spiel alle zugleich vor den Fernseher holt. Diese Lastspitzen halten nur Anbieter mit mehreren Servern aus.
Die deutschen Sender, wirklich abrufbar
ARD, ZDF, RTL, Sat.1, ProSieben, Sky Sport, DAZN, Sport1 — mindestens in HD. Mancher wirbt mit zwanzigtausend Sendern, von denen die Haelfte tote Links oder auslaendische Feeds sind, die hier keiner oeffnet.
Mehrere Geraete zur selben Zeit
Ein echtes IPTV-Abo laeuft auf Firestick, Android TV, Apple TV, Samsung- und LG-Fernsehern, Telefon und Rechner. Zwei bis drei gleichzeitige Streams sind ideal, denn in einem Haushalt schaut selten nur eine Person.

WAS DAS GUENSTIGSTE ANGEBOT WIRKLICH KOSTET
Der niedrigste Preis kommt uebers Jahr fast immer teurer — auf Wegen, die in keinem Vergleich stehen.
Die Einstiegsstufe heisst meist ein Stream, ein Server und ein Support, der keiner ist. Keiner dieser drei Punkte steht auf der Preisseite.
Das Geld versickert anderswo: ein zweites Abo, um zu decken, was das erste fallen laesst, ein Geraet, gekauft in dem Glauben, die Hardware sei schuld, und Abende voller Suche nach einem Fehler, der nicht zu beheben war.
Die ehrliche Rechnung: Jahreskosten nehmen, alles addieren, was Sie gekauft haben, damit es laeuft, und durch die Zahl der Abende teilen, an denen es wirklich lief. Diese Zahl wirft die meisten Ranglisten ueber den Haufen.

Kann ich Live-Sport ohne Sky-Vertrag schauen?
Ja. Ein solides IPTV-Dienst fuehrt Bundesliga, Champions League, DAZN- und Sky-Sport-Inhalte live und in HD — ohne Zweijahresvertrag und ohne Geraetegebuehr. Genau deshalb habe ich gekuendigt.
Auf welchen Geraeten laeuft das beste IPTV?
Die guten laufen auf Firestick, Android TV, Apple TV, Samsung- und LG-Fernsehern sowie auf Telefon und Rechner — mit demselben Login ueberall. Laeuft ein Dienst nur auf einem Geraet, ist das ein Warnsignal.
Welche Internetgeschwindigkeit brauche ich fuer einen fluessigen Stream?
Rund 25 Mbit/s reichen bequem fuer HD, 50 Mbit/s und mehr genuegen fuer 4K auf zwei Bildschirmen. Wie oben gezeigt zaehlt eine stabile Leitung mehr als eine schnelle, aber unregelmaessige — die meisten Ruckler kommen vom Server, nicht von Ihrer Geschwindigkeit.
