BorderPrep
Arrive Ready for Any Country
Black Friday is here, and BorderPrep is offering 50% off product feature site-wide.
I rebuilt BorderPrep because travel prep used to stress me out. Jumping between embassy sites, visa forms, and insurance pages wasted hours and left me anxious before trips.
Now travelers can know exactly what they need before leaving — no last-minute panic, no stress.
If you’re planning a trip or building a travel product, this deal might save time and give peace of mind.
Before a trip, I used to spend hours piecing together visas, insurance, and entry rules. It was stressful and easy to miss something important.
Now, BorderPrep turns all that into a few clicks. Travelers know exactly what they need before stepping on a plane, no last-minute panic.
It’s not about showing forms or links, it’s about confidence and peace of mind before a trip.
If you’ve built a niche product, I’d love to hear: how do you turn a stressful process into a simple, reliable experience for users?
Most people scramble between embassy sites, visa forms, and random travel blogs before a trip. I wanted to fix that.
So I rebuilt BorderPrep, a travel prep site where anyone can check entry rules, visas, and essentials for any country, all in one page.
It turns “I don’t know what I need before flying” into “I’m fully ready to go” in just a few clicks.
Used by thousands of travelers every month, still free.
If you’ve built a travel-related product before, I’d love your thoughts on how to grow it next.

This sounds like a really useful resource for travelers! It can be quite overwhelming to find all the necessary information before a trip, so having everything in one place is a great idea. I’d be interested to see how you plan to grow it further, especially in terms of user engagement.

This is super useful, Tom. Travel prep is messy for most people, so simplifying it into one page is a big win.
How are you currently driving traffic? I’m curious what’s worked so far and where you’re looking to take BorderPrep next. -

Hey Tom, I really liked your product. Something I will be definitely be using in the future.
There's just a minor issue I noticed. The app makes it feel like the content was updated when switching destination, but it is still showing the info for the previous one. I had to click on generate to get the info for the new destination.
Keep up the nice work!!

Love the idea! Travel friction points like this are perfect for a niche tool. Have you considered the monetization model yet? Could this be a one-time purchase, a low-cost subscription, or are you looking to integrate it with other travel services (e.g., flight trackers, visa services) for an affiliate model down the line? Excited to see where you take this!

Right now I’m keeping it simple and open. I’m getting products featured on the site, and it’s been a nice early win for both sides.
If you want your product shown in front of thousands of travelers who land on BorderPrep every day, you’re more than welcome to jump in. Happy to chat anytime.

Hey Indie Hackers 👋
I just revamped BorderPrep, a site that helps travelers get everything ready before flying.
It started as a simple list of digital arrival cards. Now it covers:
Visa requirements
Pre-entry checklists per country
Official forms, all in one place
Built with Nuxt 4 + DaisyUI, statically generated for speed. UX is cleaner so people can find what they need in seconds.
It’s still 100% free, used by thousands every month.
Oh, and if you have a product that fits travelers, you can get it featured on BorderPrep and reach thousands of monthly users.
Would love feedback from other builders, what would make it even more useful?

That’s a smart revamp love how you’ve turned BorderPrep into a true traveler companion instead of just a visa info site
Many founders in the travel space underestimate how valuable Reddit communities can be for user feedback and visibility. There are several active subreddits where travelers openly share tools like this and with the right approach, your post can easily bring in thousands of engaged visitors organically no ads or spammy promos
I help SaaS founders like you position their tools inside those niche Reddit communities to spark genuine conversations, collect feedback, and drive traffic that actually converts
If you’d like, I can share a quick outline of the exact subreddits and posting angles that could help BorderPrep reach its ideal users fast happy to DM the details.
About
I built it to simplify pre-arrival requirements—digital forms, visas, apps, and quick tips—all in one place, so people can just focus on enjoying their trip.

Great idea! BorderPrep makes Black Friday travel prep effortless, saving time and reducing stress for travelers.
This is awesome! You should also share it on BusinessHunt.co — founders and travel enthusiasts there would love to see your Black Friday deal and give feedback.
Nice launch, Tom! 🙌
Loved how you explained the stress part behind the problem — super relatable.
As someone also building a tool and going through early-stage launches, I find these kinds of posts really motivating.
Your Black Friday angle is smart too. I’m curious how the deal performed overall — any early numbers or user feedback you can share?
Thanks, appreciate it. This month around 1.18k people came in to check out the tool. Still early but heading the right direction
