October 9, 2023 Cancelo got acquired!

Exciting News! πŸŽ‰

We're thrilled to announce that our startup has been acquired via Acquire.com. This milestone is especially significant for us as we've been a small, two-person team from the start.

Since day one, my brother and I have poured our hearts into building something special, and now, through Acquire, we've found the perfect match for our startup. Even though it's just the two of us, this acquisition opens up new opportunities and possibilities for our future growth.

We're eager to see what the future holds!

July 19, 2022 First steps

Hello there! πŸ‘‹
I hope everyone reading this post is doing great with their indie venture. πŸ’ͺ

Although nothing special has happened in the past 3 weeks, I decided to post an update on where we are currently on our entrepreneurial journey. At least it will be nice to look back to when we were just starting up once our project, God willing, becomes a successful business.

We are actively looking for our first users. After launching on a few platforms, we are mostly doing cold outreach as we think it’s the best and fastest way to acquire customers in an early phase. We offer a premium plan free of charge for as long as our prospects need to try out the product and see if they can get a value from it. Except from a few unrelated signups and some sort of advice to help us get started, there is nothing glorious or noteworthy to report. However, more precise conclusions will be drawn once we reach out to a larger number of potential customers. Till then, we will be patient and do the best we can.

Happy hacking (and marketing, of course)!

June 29, 2022 Meet Cancelo

Hi Indie's! πŸ‘‹

A bit over a year ago, me and my brother built or first SaaS. Getting those first users was painful, but watching them leave was even worse. We were asking ourselves what made them cancel their subscription and if we could have done something to prevent it. This made us think about making a questionnaire for customers built in a cancelation flow and shown to them just before they leave forever. With the option of presenting custom offers for your customers as a response to different cancelation reasons, Cancelo was born. Adding it to our existing product, it really helped reduce churn rate a bit, and with the ton of feedback left we were able to implement those missing features, adjust a pricing model etc. If you are struggling with high churn rate and would like some insight from leaving customers, give Cancelo a try.

    Congrats on the release!

I really like your landing page (the hover-able hero images are fun to play with).

I tried the cancellation flow, and personally I hate when a company makes it hard to cancel, in the example I think there are a bit too many steps and that might frustrate the user. Is it possible to disable some steps?

      Thank you for your feedback!
We also think long cancelation flows can be frustrating for users. That said, we made some steps optional. It can be configured in a way that only 'Cancelation reason' step is shown after which custom retention offer is presented.

Hey Amar, congratulations on Cancelo. I just started working for a Churnfree.com and while we may be competitors I just want you to know that I wish you guys all the best. Good luck!

Hey Amar, I like how you came up with the current version of Cancelo! Consider landing the first 20 sales via 1-1 chats, it's the fastest way to get traction. Can help you with closing these and finding your market positioning to get it to 12K ARR in 3 months. Just DM me on Twitter :)
