How the idea for CustomerPing struck me

Marketing isn't the most exciting thing for me as a software engineer. I perceive it as a kind of necessity for business, not as a thing that ignites my enthusiasm.

And I saw a lot of similar statements from other solo entrepreneurs. They know that customer research and marketing are necessary but they don't love to do it.

So I thought: Wouldn't it be cool if I had an AI that would do this for me? It would scan the internet for customers and bring them to me, instead of me searching for them. And it would "ping" me right on my mobile that I'm using all the time, anyway.

And so I made it and released it. No big deal. I just had some nasty problems to solve but that's what an engineer enjoys, right? 😄
