I run Disclos. It is a one person company out of Riga, Latvia, and it does one thing: it tells SaaS founders whether the EU AI Act applies to them, and what to actually do about it. I am an EU citizen, not a law firm, and not a 50 person compliance platform with a sales team.

Here is the part nobody wants to deal with. On 2 August 2026 the main wave of the EU AI Act starts to bite. That is 41 days away. If you ship any AI feature into the EU, a chatbot, a generator, a recommender, anything, Article 50 says you have to tell users they are dealing with AI, in a language they actually read. Penalties at the top of the Act run to €35M or 7% of global turnover. Most founders I talk to either have no idea if it applies to them, or they panic and label themselves high risk when they are not.

So I built the boring tools and gave them away. There is a free scope checker that tells you your tier in two minutes, no signup. There is an Article 50 disclosure generator that writes the exact warning text in all 24 official EU languages. There are two MCP servers so you can ask Claude or Cursor straight from your editor. All free, all open source.

But tools only get you so far. At some point you want a human to look at your actual product and say "yes this is fine" or "no, fix these three things, here is how." That is the paid audit. It is €997, five business days, a written report mapped to every relevant article, and a refund if you are not compliant by the deadline after following it.

Why give away something I sell for €997. Two honest reasons. One, I am new and I need real founders putting it through its paces on real products, not toy examples. Two, the people most exposed to this law are exactly the people least able to drop a grand on compliance, solo founders and tiny teams shipping AI into Europe. Those are my people. I would rather have 10 of them safe and telling their friends than 10 paid logos I had to chase.

What I want in return is simple, and there is no hard catch. If the audit genuinely helps you, I would love an honest review. If it does not, tell me why and I will fix the product. That is it. No upsell ambush, no "free audit" that turns out to be a 40 minute sales call. You get the actual deliverable.

Who should apply. You are a SaaS founder or small team, you ship at least one AI feature, and you have users in the EU or your output ends up there. Bonus if you are in a spicy vertical like FinTech, HealthTech, EdTech or HR tech, because that is where the law gets sharp.

Who should not. If you are a 200 person company with a GRC team and a budget, this is not for you and you do not need me. If you have zero AI and zero EU exposure, you are probably out of scope, and the free checker will tell you that for nothing.

The clock is the real reason I am posting this now. 41 days is not a lot of runway for something most founders have not started. A disclosure change is cheap if you do it now and a nightmare if you retrofit it in late July while everything else is on fire.

Ship AI into the EU and Article 50 says you have to tell users it's AI, in a language they actually read. Got users across the EU? That's not one little label. That's 24.

So I made the dull part free. There's a generator on disclos.eu that gives you the exact Article 50 wording for chatbots, AI generated content, deepfakes, and emotion or biometric features, in every one of the 24 official EU languages. No signup, nothing saved.

Pick what you're doing, pick the language, paste the text in. That's the job most founders were quietly planning to skip, or hand to a lawyer who'd charge them for the privilege.

Two free ways to find out if the EU AI Act applies to you now, no signup, no sales call.

First one is a page. Go to disclos.eu/check, answer a few questions about your product, and it tells you your risk tier, what you owe, and the deadline. Runs in your browser, saves nothing, I never see it.

The €997 audit is still there for when the answer comes back yes and you want someone to actually do the work and put their name on it. Next I'm pushing it in front of more developers and untangling the annoying edge cases, like when you are both the provider and the deployer of the same system.

Most SaaS founders I talk to fall into one of three camps. They have never heard of the EU AI Act. They have heard of it and assume it is a 2027 problem. Or they got a €15k quote from a law firm and are quietly hoping it goes away.

Here is the uncomfortable part. Article 50 takes effect on 2 August 2026. If a person in the EU can use your product and it has a chatbot, a generative feature, or any AI driven output, you are in scope. Fines run up to €15M or 3% of global turnover. Where you are incorporated does not matter.
