May 30, 2025 Woke up with 5X more people using DropSnap! Here's what I did.

One day I posted on reddit, twitter & indie hackers but with some changes and actually ended up getting a nice traffic spike.

Here’s what worked for me (and might work for you too):

  1. Lead with value. Share what you’ve learned, your wins, your journey etc..

  2. Engage with the community. Reply to others, ask questions, join conversations. Be human.

  3. * Outcome > Feature. “Buy this tool” -- doesn't work. “Just got my first user!” -- that actually works.

  4. Use graphics, spend some time making sure you have a good looking visual. (use a light colored visual for a mostly dark platform and a dark visual for a mostly light platform) visuals get recognized faster (and that's the exact reason I am building DropSnap 😉).

I shared on Reddit and IndieHackers — even landed on the front page of IH, which definitely helped.

You don’t need to “market.” Just show up, share your learnings, help others — and people will recognize.

Hope this helps someone putting their work out there.

Hmm, this is solid and I guess I’m trying, Appreciate how you broke it down especially the being human part.I help founders make sense of early user behavior though especially when things are still messy and unclear. If you’re in that phase, I can help.

May 20, 2025 Why Screenshots Matter (and Why I Built dropsnap.in)

Screenshots don’t get nearly enough credit.

If you want people to stop scrolling and actually click your post, just uploading a plain screenshot won’t cut it — it just gets lost in the feed.

Your visuals need to speak for themselves and grab attention right away. The problem? Most tools just slap a background on your screenshot and call it done.

That’s why I built dropsnap.in — a super simple, fast way to turn your screenshots into polished, eye-catching visuals that actually get noticed.

No clutter. No complicated steps. Just clean, clear screenshots ready to share.

May 18, 2025 3 ways to make your product screenshots scroll-stopping (and get more clicks)

I’m building Dropsnap.in — it helps founders turn boring screenshots into clean, polished mockups.
No Figma. No Photoshop. Just upload → Template → done.

So, from all the designs I have analyzed here are 3 quick, proven ways to make your screenshots scroll-stopping 👇

✅ 1. ONE FEATURE AT A TIME
Zoom in on the key feature or outcome. Make it easy to see why your product matters at a glance.

✅ 2. MAKE THE BG STAND-OUT
Bright color? Gradient? The background sets the tone — don’t let it be boring white unless that’s intentional.

3. ONE LINE BUT BOLD

Most people scroll fast. A short headline or label over your screenshot instantly tells them what your product does. Think:
💬 “1-click invoice generator”
💬 “Chat with your docs, instantly”
💬 “Auto-enhanced mockup — no designer needed”

Really smart idea. The “one feature at a time” rule especially resonates.

I work with founders stuck mid-build, and visual clarity in product shots often reflects clarity (or lack of it) in the project itself. This kind of framing helps both design and delivery.

I actually learned it the hard way.
