Unexpected hurdle

It appears that Stripe has categorized my business, EmailEngine, as a "telemarketing service," which is against their policies, resulting in the closure of my account. I hope I can clarify that EmailEngine is not related to telemarketing. Instead, I offer software subscriptions that enable integration of incoming emails with SaaS CRM and similar services. It's a significant challenge to run a business when many people don't understand its purpose. 🤷‍♂️

Edit. Huh, dodged a huge bullet here, my appeal went through and the account was reactivated.

I think it highlights that you clearly have a positioning problem.

I ran into this problem a lot with one of my projects that I'm pivoting away from. Literally, I would have to explain the product constantly and most people just wouldn't really get it. What I'm pivoting to, a SaaS billing system that extends Stripe people instantly get and see the value and the problems it solves for them. I spent a lot of time not solving my positioning problem. So far I've only had a few conversations about my billing system yet both times people are telling me to get back to them when I have a demo whereas before it was nothing.

So if I was you, I would really focus on fixing the positioning so people clearly understand what you actually do.

Thanks, you might be right about this, I need to give it a deep thought.
