With 3 paying customers a bunch of free ones, today our first paying customer asked to cancel the subscription.
After canceling it for him (there is still no option for the user to cancel on their own) I also asked why did he decide to cancel.
It turns out that he subscribed for a paid plan for an event that he had and is now over. So he doesn't need it anymore.
It was nice to hear that the product served him well and he would use it again.
Also got some valuable feedback that I'm going to get into the product.

I came to realize that the most valuable audience for form-data are freelancers and design agencies that build website for others.
Although I have quite a few site owners customers, those are most likely to use the free tier and stay with it. This is because personal site tend to have low traffic, and even lower form-submissions rate.
However, if we are able to give the right tools for site builders professionals, that would save them time and make them look even more professional to their customers, this would worth real money for them.
Our revised roadmap is targeted to this audience.

After having the product live since April and getting few dozens of free users, today I got the first paying customer. It's $5 per month and it allows the user to have unlimited form submissions. This user has registered few weeks ago but did not reach the free tier limit, so it is a nice affirmation that they see value in the product.

form-data was created to allow users have forms on their websites, whether they have backend servers or not, and not worry about coding the form handler too much.
Forms may seem to be simple to handle, but reality is that there's a lot of daunting work to do that requires some skill.
Spam-bot filtering, email notification sending, reply to user with custom message, redirect to thankyou page, integrate with your other tools and much more.
This is a semi-crouded space with players that do backend-only on one hand, and others that are doing full form-builders on the other hand.
Hope to find form-data sweet spot in there
