Product Innovation for High-Growth Companies
We launched on product hunt with an assistant by the number 1 hunter in the community Kevin David. This has given us massive visibility and coverage over the last 5 hours; we have seen our website visitors go up by 2500%
- Existing Enterprise: we got referral to a new enterprise with $4bn market cap who is subscribing for 1 year. Also, One of our existing Enterprise is spinning off 4 new product teams for their R&D efforts. Essentially, we are offering R&D as a service.
- Accelerators: 10 startup leads from accelerators in Washington and Austin.
- Direct Customer Signup: We had 7 new startups in conversion stage

We saw a number of companies (Uber, Wework, Atrium, Oyo, Andela, and co) layoff employees and excel sheets were created to help them get jobs. We, however, saw opportunities to help a number of them get onboarded to Grupa and start working on Gigs with their teams. - Social Ads: We tested out our channels (Reddit, quora and LinkedIn) and made recruitment based post for teams
- Community: we targetted the community of product engineers and made a post for those seeking remote gigs as service providers
- Networks & Referrals: we had teams refer others to get up the activation stack!

The key highlight of the Alpha product:
- Self Onboarding: Product teams can now onboard themselves.
- Self Testing: Product team can choose a preferred challenge and do a mini project within 48hrs, and submit for review.
- Automated Matching: Grupa intelligence matches the startups with the best fit teams for their product development; by capturing work preferences, background and experience!
We leveraged on Email Marketing efforts (reaching out to startup communities like YC, Job boards, and co; used tools to get contact information and drive traffic) as well as Social Ads on platforms like reddit; targeting communities where product teams and startups spend their time on.

We upsold an additional iteration subscription for an existing customer by designing a flexible payment plan that lets startups pay per weekly sprints or per iteration. This flexibility drove growth. I guess the lesson here we took away here is that: customers want to see the value for multiple subscriptions and we should be focused on customer needs and designing flexibility into their experience.

We focused on Global startups and product engineering teams; targetted those coming out of accelerators and implemented a referral system that allows startups to invite friends who also want to build their products. Our Iterations subscription system also enabled clients subscribe for more than one iteration of their product roadmap

About
Freelance platforms are broken and unsuited for PRODUCTS (which are built iteratively). “Product Engineering In The Cloud” calls for the need to reinvent how we find, engage talents, and how we build Products
