February 26, 2025 Why I'm Building Haus: A Strategic Design Partner for SaaS Founders

After 25+ years in design and building/selling multiple SaaS products myself, I noticed a pattern: most design services for startups focus on making things pretty rather than moving metrics, and they also have no real-world, deep in the weeds experience of actually building their own products.

The problem I'm solving

SaaS founders are facing design challenges that directly impact growth:

  • Landing pages that look good but don't convert

  • Features users can't find or understand how to use

  • Poor onboarding that kills activation rates

  • Competing against VC-backed companies with limited resources

What makes Haus different

Haus isn't just another design agency. I'm building a true design partnership for SaaS founders where:

  1. Every design decision is tied to a specific business metric (conversion, activation, retention)

  2. We focus on the highest-impact changes first (not complete redesigns)

  3. Design expertise is combined with SaaS business understanding

  4. You work directly with me - someone who's walked the founder path

Some real results I've helped founders achieve:

  • 17% improvement in conversion rates through landing page hierarchy and copywriting improvements

  • 46% faster time-to-value by redesigning onboarding UX flows (crucial for trial conversions)

  • 32% reduction in support tickets through better in-app guidance and clearer error states

What's next

Haus officially launches on March 19, 2025, but I'm accepting a limited number of founders on the waitlist now.

I'd love to connect with other IH founders - especially if you're struggling with conversion, adoption, or retention challenges that might have design solutions.

What design challenges are you facing with your SaaS product right now?

About

I created Haus because I'm a Founder myself, and understand what it takes to design, develop and market products, and how the visuals you present and the words you choose plays a massive role in the success of a product.
