Higher or Lower — The Guessing Game
Launched a free higher/lower facts game, here's what happene
Built and shipped Higher or Lower — a one-page browser game where you guess if the next fact (population, movie budgets, sports records, space distances) is higher or lower than the current one.
Stack: plain HTML/CSS/JS, no backend, no login. Hosted as a static site.
Goal: get this to $1000/mo through AdSense alone. No ad network tricks, no paid acquisition yet — just trying to validate whether a simple, fast, ad-supported casual game can grow through SEO + organic sharing in a niche that's already got some big established players (higherorlowergame.com, playhigherlower.com, moreorless.io).
Currently figuring out: long-tail SEO angles, directory/backlink strategy, and which fact categories actually get people sharing their streaks. Will keep posting updates as the traffic numbers move.
About
I wanted to build a faster, simpler version of the "higher or lower" guessing game without the bloat — no login, no app download, no waiting on heavy assets.

Hey, just wanted to say — your product looks really impressive. It feels useful, clean, and like something that can actually help people solve a real problem.
I’m building Everyday Tiny Tools — a marketplace for small useful web tools, mini apps, calculators, generators, AI tools, productivity helpers, and simple utilities.
The idea is to give independent creators a real place to showcase their tools, get discovered, and maybe even earn from them.
If you’ve built something small and useful, I’d love to invite you to list it here: EverydayTinyTools.com
Tools can be listed as free, or as a simple one-time purchase through the platform.
And if you have any questions, feel free to reach out anytime: nuchem@lightboltlab.com
Really like what you’re building — wishing you a lot of success with it.
One thing I'd be curious about:
How are you thinking about the relationship between what gets shared and what ultimately makes the business work?
Those can overlap.
They can also quietly optimize for very different outcomes.
That feels like the more interesting challenge than the traffic itself.
