February 5, 2026 Update: We're live (and just hit send on our first launch email)

Hey IH, Brett here with a quick update on Intakely.

Since my first post in November, we've been heads down building. Today we sent our first batch of launch emails to the waitlist. Felt real.

Here's what's changed:

The product is live. You can sign up, create briefs through conversation, and actually use it. No more "coming soon."

Conversational brief creation works. You talk to the AI like you would a teammate. It asks smart follow-up questions, extracts what matters, and builds the brief for you. Upload docs, paste links, or just describe what you need.

Strategy validation catches conflicts before they become problems. The AI flags things like "luxury positioning + budget audience" or "tight deadline + complex deliverables" and asks you to refine or proceed anyway.

Export actually works. One click to Notion, Asana, or Slack with full context. Download as PDF too.

Still early. Still learning. The next focus is making the AI smarter about your brand over time - learning your tone, your audience, your patterns.

If you're building in AI, creative tools, or workflow automation, would love to connect. And if you want to try Intakely: https://intakely.app

Thanks for following along.

November 28, 2025 Building an AI brain for creative teams (Hi Indie Hackers 👋)

Hey IH, I’m Brett. After years leading video and creative production inside SaaS startups, I noticed the same pattern everywhere: creative teams weren’t failing because of execution. They were failing because the starting point was always messy. Missing context, vague requests, unclear goals, and way too many places where information lived.

So I started building Intakely, an AI intelligence layer that turns conversations, documents, and unstructured requests into clear, actionable, living creative briefs.

It’s still early. Still scrappy. Still shaping itself as people use it.
Right now it:

  • extracts structure from messy inputs

  • adds strategic insight

  • scores briefs for completeness

  • exports into tools teams already use

My goal isn’t to replace creatives — it’s to remove the chaotic “before” stage so they can focus on the work that matters.

Excited to share the journey here and meet others building in AI, workflows, or creative tools. Happy to answer questions, get feedback, or just connect.
