Monitor the health of your co-founder relationship
After gaining 75 Slack teams within the first month of launching Internal, we realized that emotional communication isn't a pain point for businesses - only an annoyance - but is a pain point for consumers in their personal lives.
With this, we pivoted to consumer-facing and adapted the Slack application to simultaneously enter our first consumer niche (co-founder relationships) and bridge the gap from Internal being Slack-first to mobile-app first.
Launched our official release on ProductHunt! It took a decent amount of time to go from public beta to official release due to a pivot in overall app sentiment - Meaning we've gone from a top-down, manager-first approach to a bottom-up, employee-first approach.

I released a public beta of the team sentiment intelligence tool for managers on Product Hunt and got 15 team downloads on the first day. Development took over a month because I also had to teach myself how to even do fullstack development in the first place.
Lots of bugs were found, little value was created, but the vision was refined

I got the idea to quantify executive decision making, based off a passion for Pythagoras and his intent to quantify the universe. I quickly realized that, in order to quantify decision making, I would need to be able to quantify the sentiment of teams, and predict sentiment based off counterfactuals or hypothetical situations in the instance that a specific decision was made.
The lowest barrier for figuring out whether or not team sentiment was important to executives and managers was to build a Slack bot that reported the aggregate team scores of sentiment-gauging questionnaires... Which is what I set out to do

Internal exists to communicate the awkward part of talking about how your emotions - just like how Tinder did with dating!
