InventorysHub
Inventory Management Software | Inventoryshub
Hi everyone 👋
A few months ago, I decided to take that leap and started building InventorysHub.
What is InventorysHub?
InventorysHub is a cloud-based inventory and asset management platform designed for small and medium-sized businesses.
It helps businesses:
✅ Track inventory in real time
✅ Manage warehouses and stock levels
✅ Monitor company assets and equipment
✅ Improve inventory accuracy with barcode support
✅ Gain visibility across multiple locations
The goal is to provide an easy-to-use system without the complexity and high costs associated with enterprise inventory software.
Why I Built It
Over the years, many of our clients struggled with spreadsheets, disconnected systems, and manual inventory processes.
Common problems included:
Stock discrepancies
Poor warehouse visibility
Difficulty tracking assets
Manual order processing
Lack of real-time inventory information
I realized these challenges were common across many industries, so I decided to build a product that could address them.
Challenges So Far
Building the product was only half the battle.
The biggest challenges have been:
SEO and organic growth
Creating content consistently
Product positioning
Getting the first users and feedback
Competing against established players
Like many founders here, I'm learning that distribution is often harder than development.
Current Focus
Right now, I'm focused on:
Improving SEO and content marketing.
Collecting user feedback and refining the product.
Building integrations and additional automation features.
Acquiring the first paying customers.
Looking for Feedback
I'd love feedback from the Indie Hackers community on:
Landing page messaging
Pricing strategy
User onboarding
Growth and acquisition ideas
Building in public is new for me, but I'm excited about the journey.
Thanks for reading, and I look forward to connecting with other founders here!
Feel free to share your own SaaS journey or ask any questions. 🚀
Over the past few months, I've been talking to dozens of small business owners—retailers, wholesalers, manufacturers, and warehouse managers.
Surprisingly, most of them weren't looking for an expensive ERP.
They just wanted to answer simple questions like:
How much stock do I have right now?
Which items are running low?
Where is my inventory located?
Who supplied this product?
Why does my stock never match my spreadsheet?
Most businesses were still relying on Excel sheets, WhatsApp messages, handwritten notes, or disconnected software.
The result?
Frequent stockouts
Overstocking slow-moving items
Manual counting every week
Lost sales because inventory wasn't updated
Hours wasted trying to find the source of stock differences
That convinced me there was room for a much simpler solution.
So I started building InventorysHub.
The goal wasn't to compete with enterprise ERP systems.
The goal was to create software that someone could understand within minutes.
Today Inventoryshub helps businesses manage:
✅ Stock levels in real time
✅ Multiple warehouses
✅ Purchase orders
✅ Sales orders
✅ Suppliers
✅ Inventory reports
✅ Low-stock alerts
One thing I learned while building this is that simplicity is much harder than adding features.
Every time we added something new, we asked ourselves:
"Will this actually help a business owner today, or are we just making the software more complicated?"
That question has shaped almost every feature we've built.
We're still early, and there's a long roadmap ahead, but we're shipping improvements every week based on feedback from real users.
If you're running a business that struggles with inventory, I'd genuinely appreciate your feedback on our Stock Management Software page:

I'm especially interested in hearing:
What's your biggest inventory headache?
Do you still use spreadsheets?
Which feature would save you the most time?
Building in public has been one of the best decisions I've made, and I'd love to learn from the Indie Hackers community.

This makes sense, especially the inventory accuracy + multi-location angle.
My main question is around switching cost most SMBs already run on spreadsheets or lightweight POS/inventory tools, so what’s the trigger that makes them actively move to something like InventorysHub instead of just improving their current setup?
I think in this category, distribution is usually less about features and more about reaching users at the exact moment their current system starts breaking.
Exactly.. a web based app is always a preferred option as users can jump to it any time and get their inventory/work organised.
That line is one every solo founder eventually learns the hard way. For inventory/asset management tools, the fastest early traction usually comes from small business owner communities and industry-specific forums rather than broad SEO, which takes months to compound. Curious what channels you’ve tried so far beyond IH?
Building the product is usually the easy part in this space. The harder challenge is convincing businesses to replace the spreadsheets they've trusted for years. Once you can show how much time or money those spreadsheets are costing them, the conversation gets much easier.
Yup totally agree!
One thing I'm curious about is whether the bigger challenge eventually becomes replacing spreadsheets—or replacing the decision-making habits those spreadsheets reinforce.
Those can end up being very different problems.
