I happy to share that yesterday i've made my first batch of donations through TeamTrees.org
This was possible thank to all of you that have participated to this funny project.
Hope to increase the amount in the near future :)
On Friday i submitted my product in the Show HN section.
In the first 10 minutes i got 3 upvote, then 10 and in a matter of 30 minutes i was in the front page of HN😱
I was excited! I had more than 200 users active on the website and they were buying the product ! I even had WakaTime on the frontpage for i little while.
BUT THEN when it was climbing the front-page with 29 upvotes the submission disappeared from HN 😭
I reach the moderators, they said that the users flagged it. I was very sad that it happened. I thought that gettin upvote was somewhat a validation to the authenticity of the product .
It was a bittersweet experience. I probably wait some months and submit again and see what will happen next time :)

Wow, Let me share my experience with you....I posted by website wannahireme.com on PH on Thursday night. I barely got 7 upvotes but got some nothing but positive reviews in PH, IH, I spammed it in HN (lol) but still it didn't get any traction.
I had a twitter account which I used to publish tools. I used the said account to reach potential users directly. I tweeted at them directly...This was getting me some positive feedback.
I must have tweeted at atleast 200+ users. when my account was suspended...
Suprise.. I see producthunt on sunday evening.. and my product is on the front page...I have no clue how this works...

I really don't believe it! Yesterday was the first day of launch and I 've reached this amazing milestone.
It's a small step but I'm very excited to have reached this goal!

I would suggest smaller steps, or even "microsteps" in increasing the next price. And I would suggest reseting it on a monthly basis.
So, for example start with $2.00, and then $2.02, $2.04... At the beginning of the month, reset it to $2.00.
